    I'm not sure if I read it from Mike Berardino or heard it from Rob Antony during the broadcast today, but they said they aren't interested in having him DH because they want him to be a 3B, not a DH.

    This difficult schedule to begin a season seems to have happened a lot the past couple of years.

    I can think of three reasons off the top of my head that he shouldn't catch a few games. His contract is $23,000,0000. He is easily our best offensive player and best player overall. He is one foul tip away to the head from getting another concussion and being out who knows how long. There's no point in risking that. Joe Mauer is a first baseman now. I wouldn't mind seeing Pinto start in AAA because I don't think he will be the starting catcher to begin the season.

    Mike Berardino just posted videos of Deduno throwing live BP to Sano and Vargas. I assume that means he is healthy and ready to go?

    If I lived closer to Target Field, I would be going to as many games as possible no matter how good the team is. I love baseball and I love the Twins. If other people don't want to show up because they think it will help put a better product on the field, I will gladly take their spot.

    I watched Christensen play a lot last year for Nebraska. He hit very well, and hopefully he can continue to do that in the minors. Go Big Red!

    Because of the Hall of Fame voting this week, I've been looking up some of the greats in baseball history. How has there never been a unanimous selection into baseball's hall of fame? I don't see how someone like Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, Hank Aaron, Willie Mays etc. isn't a unanimous selection.

    My opinion is since Mauer moved to first base, we should pretend he doesn't know how to be a catcher unless it is an extreme emergency situation. I don't see why the Twins would risk putting him back there. I might be overly cautious, but it just takes one bad foul tip to the head and his career could be over, or he could be nowhere near the player he was. It's not worth the risk to me.

    Yeah I remember reading that earlier today. I didn't think the Twins would go after him, but I remembered people saying how they thought the Twins need a 4th outfielder with speed. I didn't know who was left and saw Nyjer Morgan was trying to come back.

    I just read that Nyjer Morgan is looking to return to MLB after spending last year in Japan. Could the Twins use him?

    I just don't like what Drew costs. However, it's probably what you have to pay any shortstop who can hit the ball. I wish we would have kept JJ Hardy!

    I think him being caught with PEDs would be worse. It would make me question how much that affected his production and how good he actually is as a prospect.
