  1. Is there a downside to Meyer spending the rest of the year in the Twins bullpen? I would like to see him as a starter, but I don't know how many more starts he could make and he has been on a pitch limit what seems like all season.
  2. I've nearly completed my degree in genetics at Iowa State. No there isn't necessarily a specific "major league gene", but players like Nick Gordon would have a different genetic makeup that makes him more likely to be a professional baseball player. I'm sure if they took the time, geneticists could find a "major league gene", or genetic markers that you could name a major league gene.
  3. It's crazy to me that he was just in high school, yet he is hitting over .300 in rookie ball. What a talent
  4. That's what I was thinking with Kepler. He probably should repeat Fort Myers, but going from High A to MLB in 2 years is a lot to expect. At this point I expect Walker and Harrison to move up next year, but I would understand if they didn't start in AA.
  5. What do Harrison, Walker, and Kepler have to do to move up to AA next year?
  6. If I remember correctly, Law has never had many good things to say about Vargas.
  7. I'm wondering why Colabello hasn't been in the lineup
  8. The next Greek God of Walks?
  9. They definitely need to be smart with this decision to have rehab first. If they waste too much time on rehab and TJ is still needed, there goes next year as well. Then the year after that would be his first year back (unless he gets a couple starts at the end of the previous year), and we all know how those years can go for pitchers.
  10. I agree with you. I love doubles, especially when you get a couple of them in a row. I think Colabello is another guy capable of hitting a lot of doubles.
  11. Keeping Torii Hunter would have definitely improved this team every year that he would have been here. I'm not going to speculate on who we would/wouldn't have because that gets hard to do, but his worst years since leaving (OPS+ wise) are 2008 when he posted a 111 with 21 HR and 37 2Bs, and 2013, as a 37 year old, he posted a 114 with 17 HR and 37 2Bs. Even without considering all the moves we made because of his departure, he would have improved this team just by being here.
  12. I understand that, but they are going to be in trouble if their starters pitch poorly against Oakland. Luckily the All-Star break is coming up.
  13. I don't quite understand why they are making this a bullpen game, but we'll see how it works out.
  14. I'm going to be voting as much as possible today. I'm not going to let Cubs fans ruin this.
  15. Morales has been hitting well the last two games.
  16. Why are the Mariners planning on just using their bullpen tomorrow?
  17. I like Arcia. He is fun and makes me laugh.
  18. That's going to be on the Not Top 10
  19. That's what I'm thinking. It would be hard to get him at bats with the current roster though.
  20. To me, it's pretty obvious that the All-Star game is mainly a popular contest. However, it's not like the rosters are filled with guys who don't deserve to be there. I should be the least of your worries when it comes to fans voting. I'm actually an intelligent person and know a bit about baseball.
