  1. For everyone who enjoys a good twisting plot and a mystery, the twin season promises to deliver the most unusual and unexpected story lines we have seen.
  2. Keep writing about Sano - someday I will become a believer. Do I care if Arraez has power? No - just get hits!
  3. I know Garver had one great season - until he demonstrates that he might have another I want to push Jeffers to get a real chance to succeed.
  4. Rocco needs counseling. It is okay for pitchers to continue pitching when they are going well. That is what SP do or at least they used to. With a lock down BP we might err on the side of RP, but that is not what we have and I cannot see the reason to continue a pattern that is not working. Maybe later in the season we can revisit it, but right now we need that hot pitcher going as far as he can. Let's hope Sano has turned a corner, but I am not ready to concede that with one big bomb. Arraez came back from a bad luck day and was great. Polanco needs to be batting 7 or 8 but with Sano, Cave, Jeffers, Riddle in funks where do you put him. 205 Max got a good hit - I am glad. We had 4 of 10 batters hitting 300+ and the other 6 all below 205! Rogers has a 0.00 era, but how does that measure one hit and one walk in 0.1 innings? And Robles and Colome are both over 5! Something is wrong and let's see a lot of fixing soon.
  5. I am looking forward to these reports. Now if we can just get the team to keep promoting players to the big lakes it'll be an exciting time to watch the prospects grow
  6. I hate BP games - when we are asking the BP to cover so many innings this does not make sense - it just burns them out.
  7. I hope Alex hits the ball so well that the Twins are embarrassed when they send him back down. Poor Gordon has to feel really left out. He could have come up for a debut instead of Riddle.
  8. Cave, Garver, Sano, Polanco, Rooker - too many in a slump at the same time - we have to find a way to pump some life into the lineup. That is just too much automatic outs. I would love to see them all come to life, but do not lump them in the lineup.
  9. Not a lot to offer, but still wondering how Cave can hit so poorly and be up and Kiriloff had to be sent down because of his ST hitting. When do we get past the get an extra year point so we can put out best team out there? Cave out, Rooker injured, Kepler average - can Kiriloff and Larnach give a boost?
  10. Fascinating to see this team with stories that look like an ascending line on a graph - starters, Buxton, Cruz, Arraez, Simmons followed by that descending slide for the other batters and a deep plunge when Colome comes in. Fielding is better, Hitting is 1/2 better and 1/2 helpless. SP good, RP bad. That is not the combination that leads to a championship so I hope to see some changes. Donaldson coming back is one thing we need, an explanation for why Cave is still starting when he is hitting worse that what Kiriloff did in ST is a mystery that deserves a big explanation and a change. Is Rooker taking over for the injury prone OF player that hopefully Buxton has moved on from? Is Garver proving that 2020 might not have been an outlier year. but 2019 was? Polanco has looked great in the field - but at bat!!!!!!!!!!!! I would comment on Sano, but .091 really says it all and if not 182 slugging completes the statement. Kepler is just a replacement level player at this time. We need some changes to support those who are producing.
  11. Actually I am talking about Seattle's use of the bunt and they did get on. I still like it.
  12. Wow a bunt! Yes it is still available and still a weapon.
  13. This does nothing for me, what I want is the song when the blow it and the grand song when they exit triumphant
  14. Nice essay. Just wish I could believe it.Sano not my choice. I really want a more well-rounded player who can do more than the "three true outcomes" That phrase is getting really boring. Just play baseball get hits run the bases score runs field balls.
  15. We got rid of Cron who could also hit 30 home runs. He didn't live up to what we wanted from a first baseman. Sano is not living up to anyone's imagination at this point and I join anybody who wishes he would just catch fire and leave the strikeouts in the dust, but history doesn't give me as much hope as I wish it would
  16. Personally I love this. And I wish Baddoo great success and a great career. It's too early to guarantee anything but it certainly is a fun story. What I like about Baddoo and celestino is there all around abilities. I prefer them over some of the slugger first pics that we've made and the rank ahead of them.
  17. It's great to have these two starting out hot, but there are a few others who haven't noticed the ball traveling as far as they'd like. So let's hope when Buxton and Cruz cool off we'll see some others heat up.
  18. Glad to have rooker on the team again. Not sure how he replaces Donaldson since he's outfield and Donaldson is infield. But I do look at cave and wonder how he continues to be a favorite as the fourth outfielder.
  19. Glad to have rooker on the team again. Not sure how he replaces Donaldson since he's outfield and Donaldson is infield. But I do look at cave and wonder how he continues to be a favorite as the fourth outfielder.
  20. I am confused. If they were going to let him go 100 pitches why did the Buxton home run change the equation. Let him go until there's a hit. I still think it's a great honor for a pitcher to throw a no-hitter
  21. I like the relief pitchers and the outfielders. The others are not that exciting.
  22. We don't know how long Donaldson will be out and when the next problem will arise. It really begins to feel like Sano is our only real third Base option. The rest fill in but we know he can actually play the position. Then rooker and Kiriloff or Larnach work. So we will tune in tomorrow and see what the doctors report is and keep hoping that our four-year contract isn't like buxton's career so far.
  23. Wow does this game bring out the emotions. One loss - 161 games to go, but it really did hurt.
  24. Nice summary. I look forward to the matchups.
