    The bullpen has obviously been playing with fire, but by my math, I think we've only one lost one game this month (knock on wood!!) when leading after 7 innings (the Saturday game against KC). Says more about our offense than anything (and the bullpen kept us out of some close games too), of course, but still, most teams not named the Dodgers would be satisfied with that. Win or lose tonight, we had a winning June.

    Two final points: 1) Sneaky good flip by Kody at the end! He might’ve beat that out otherwise. 2) I hope Vic doesn’t have a concussion. He looked woozy.

    Goes into the column as a W. That’s literally all I care about at this point. That said, of our 41 wins, I think I can count on one hand the number of games where I wasn’t sweating the final couple innings.

    My big takeaway is our record in one-run games is quickly improving!

    I remember back during that magical run in the second half of 2006, we won a series in Houston, including a game against Kody Clemens’ dad. Let’s do it again!

    Indeed. Over the past five weeks, I honestly can't remember the last time I thought, Dang, we're really missing Jeffers. Vic & Jackson have been a great duo. Some tough calls to make when Jeffers is ready to come back.

    It felt gratifying to hear Ken Rosenthal acknowledge the Twins as legitimate WC contenders on his podcast this morning, ahead of the Blue Jays. He floated the idea of Sonny Gray coming back. ha!

    Connor is also becoming my favorite post-game interview, because he's so awkward and short with his answers you can tell it throws the beat writers off. Every answer is like "Um, yeah, like I said, I just tried to be consistent in the strike zone."

    Louis Varland lost it in the 9th today for the Blue Jays. Just saying 🤷🏼‍♂️ Silver linings: Bullpen did its job today for the Twins, and in the two one-run losses against LA.

    We currently have a better record than the defending AL champs. Meanwhile, Detroit and its bullpen had a terrible series against Houston. Fan bases across MLB - save for a handful of clubs - are pissed off at their teams, for various reasons... Point is - all and all, after 85 games, could be a lot worse for Shelty and co.! “Hunt the good” indeed.

    The Shelty post-game presser was painful. Still searching for guys in the pen to step up 85 games into season. “It’s challenging.” Gonna try and keep it postive. Today is a new day. Get a win and keep our head above water on the road trip.

    All roads lead back to King Kreidler! So happy for him. And I honestly couldn’t care less about the bullpen implosion. Whatever it took to finally get a walk off, I’m here for it.

    Borrego's has had a rough year at third imo, Should've sent the runner the other day against the Astros, but shouldn't have sent Austin Martin the other night. Always easy to second guess though...As Perkins mentioned on the broadcast, we caught a bad break on how the Gray double went down the line last night.

    I hear ya. They're playing hard. I'm just bummed we didn't find a way to win one of these close games, and we have no margin for error right now to celebrate moral victories. Would've been great for the team and fans to finally get a walk off. It was right there for the taking last night. Such is life as a Twins (and Minnesota sports) fan. 🤐

    Sure, I get it. A Buck walk off would've been a lot cooler though;) I dunno, just seems like the mentality of a team that was just satisfied to be competing against the best team in baseball. Let Mookie get his 300th this weekend against the Padres. Every run was going to matter last night.
