    This is year 10 at Farmfest for me. Always depends on the weather. We lucked out this year, for sure. Beautiful day. Pretty busy today with the governor and senate panels, Means nothing without a Twins win tonight though.

    Very true - iirc they actually had a very narrow window to getting back into the wild card race when they went to play the Yankees, Of course we know what happened then.

    Yes! I made mention of this a few starts ago. I’m sure it’s been noticed. Maybe he’s upset with himself, but not a good look imo.

    More like it might’ve just been in his head about getting traded again at the deadline. Then again, it’s the second time this year JB has had a month-long homer drought; he has looked utterly lost at times at the plate. Had the best walk of the year before the Clemens’ slam though. Guy is streaky, no doubt. Need him to step up over the final 50 games.

    All in all, I'm pleased with how this shook out. The Twins threaded the needle imo. I'm glad this group + some pitching reinforcements gets 8 more weeks together to close this season out and make a playoff push, Look, they earned that opportunity. I don't have super high expectations but it's Aug. 3 and they have a chance. We'll take it. I also expect (hope) some guys will relax a bit at the plate (Bell perhaps?) and start producing more now that the deadline is behind them. Impressive though what Larnach did over the past two games with all the rumors swirling around him. Win Twins!

    fwiw - Dan Hayes said his Twins sources pushed back strongly against reports that they re-engaged today with Houston on Larnach.
