  1. Zebby gave the team exactly what was needed. Bravo! Honestly was one of my favorite wins of the season. Every W feels huge right now. Get greedy tomorrow.
  2. There needs to be a 30 for 30 on this revamped bullpen 🤣
  3. What a game! Love to see it, I believe we currently, at this moment, have the third WC seed (tiebreaker over Toronto).
  4. Listening to Pat Reusse on YouTube. Said Shelty's postgame tantrum the other day almost brought him to tears (joking) and reminded him of the "good old days" of Gene Mauch.
  5. Keep hope alive. I mean, we could be atop the Wild Card standings with a W and some help. Which is bonkers. There are basically all but 3 teams in the AL right now that have legitimate playoff hopes.
  6. Big moment/opportunity tonight for Zebby. Need at least 6 innings from him. Let's go, Youngblood!
  7. Indeed. Adams was huge, and this is like the fifth time (at least) this season I thought Rogers was 100% cooked (after the near meltdown last week against Baltimore), only for him to succeed in fairly high leverage situations.
  8. …Did I hear that right: the hit that Clemens saved was 108 off the bat? Wow! Best play I’ve seen him make at 2nd, arguably his biggest defensive play as a Twin.
  9. Here's Shelty's reply to Gleeman's question..."It was like, oh hell, I think..." about sums it up.
  10. Well, that's a head scratcher. Is Caratini headed to the IL? Probably not, but a TD poster pointed out yesterday that he's been slumping bad since he hurt his knee in Cleveland.
  11. The vibes are so down today in Twins Territory, I think the squad just might up and win this series.
  12. I'm gonna say it again, just because: If guys on this team had simply done their job, if Joe Ryan doesn't waste three starts by trying to pitch through an obvious injury, if if if...we'd have 3-4 more wins and we're at .500 or above and Zoll/Pohlad's gamble doesn't look like a bad bet at the moment. Alas, that didn't happen. Which...is a bummer.
  13. Keeping Jenkins down in the minors has gotta be related to the impending lockout, right?
  14. True. Though I suppose we can gain ground on one of the potential WC teams (Detroit) during that stretch.
  15. I'm a fool, so keeping hope alive. This is probably hyperbole, but imo Shelty needs to manage these games like they're win or go home. Same with the players, obviously. Realistically, anything less than a series win against ATL and we're cooked heading into the West Coast road trip. Keep your head above water until the long run of divisional games at the end of the month.
  16. Another week of this and Shelton's liable to go Lee Elia on the bit. "The name of the game is hit the ball, catch the ball..." He barely contained his rage yesterday lmao.
  17. Has there been any follow-up reporting from the Twins beat writers, i.e. Dan Hayes and Bobby Nightengale, Jr., on this rumor? Dan said a few months back that the two sides weren't close to a deal.
  18. The playoffs might be out of reach before Joe gets back. Guessing he's still a couple weeks away, probably needs a rehab start, etc.
