Win or lose, it’s pretty cool this Twins team gets an experience like this. But, really, would be much better to start this series with a W.

Yeah, looking at the forecast - a narrow window to get this game in seems possible. Dan Hayes said there might be issues with where the players can even stay overnight if they have to play tomorrow. MLB teams are required to stay in at least 4 star hotels? Will be interesting to see how this shakes out today - tomorrow looks like it could be wet in Dyersville too.

Hope he's right - my Weather Underground app is showing 2.25 inches today for Dyersville. The field could be a mess if that comes to be. Probably not conditions you want your star player returning from a hip injury in...

A couple interesting quotes from Joe... “It just felt kind of like I was throwing underwater for three outings and bullpens...I want to go out there, throw and do my best to help the team get there and add at the deadline and do these things. You just realize it does the opposite for the team in that situation." Seems he realized he was hurting the team by trying to play through it. I wonder if he was being evasive about the injury with the training/coaching staff behind the scenes. Was pretty obvious by his body language in the postgame interviews that something was up. I'm guessing at this rate he's not back before September.

Hey, stop me if you've heard this one before: We need to win this game! Really though, would be very difficult to be 4 games under .500 heading into 6 games against Philly/Atlanta and feel good about our chances.

I hope everyone going tonight has a great time. TF really is a fantastic place to take in a ball game. Friendly people all around. Pretty decent crowd last night, too, relatively speaking. Win Twins! -
A beautiful night at the ballpark, minus a way too stressful ninth (the eighth was no picnic either). It should've been, but the game did not feel "out of reach" with the tying run on deck in the ninth. Yikes, Rogers! Gotta imagine the FO is wondering what to do with him. Austin Martin shut all of us up, didn't he?
