  1. Seriously? Lead off home run? Come on, Hughes.
  2. Being the fine upstanding and serious person that I am, I will refrain from gloating. neener neener neener. Then again....
  3. So, I leave for 45 minutes to have dinner with my lovely spouse, come back and it's in the 6th inning already. Told my wife it must be a low scoring game..did not expect the Twins to be up 1-0. I sort of expect that Gibson will scream bloody murder if he is pulled before the 9th inning.
  4. I see Dozier decided to take out his strike call frustrations on a poor innocent white ball.
  5. Some life out of the bats! Dozier!! and Santana?!?!?
  6. Well, at least Pelfrey is joining in the June Swoon. I get home just in time to find out the game is 4-1 and an inning later, well....
  7. Ugghhh. Well, with some good at bats, the Twins can perhaps knock Lohse out of the game.
  8. Well, so much for my prognosticatory abilities. Next time, I'll flip a coin.
  9. Okay, the Swan Lake re-enactment by Nunez and Dozier as the ball bounced off the base was kind of cool.
  10. I've never heard that much silence from Hawk. The Chicago feed decided it was necessary to indulge in some masochism by replaying the Ramirez error. I just about hit post during the pitching change and decided to wait, because I was sure there would be some sort of fielding issue by the Sox before the end of the inning. I was not disappointed.
  11. Back to the Chicago feed. This should be good.
  12. Wow, Hawk is in complete thunderous gloom meltdown mode. "We can't win if they're getting 30 or 31 out while we get 27." "Our defense sucks, and that's putting it mildly." Also something about 4 gift runs. The Sox team spent more time talking about the Twins than their own team.
  13. Ah, the beauty of MLB.TV..I will now replay that inning and listen to Hawk go into meltdown mode. I'll be back.
  14. Slogan for the Twins this year: "Winning Weird."
  15. Okay, that was fun, watching Buxton lead off.
  16. I wonder which Twins team will show up? The team that clubs the Sox or the one is clubbed by the Sox?
  17. "Let loose the dogs of smoke machine dancing!!"
  18. I vote Riverbrian for permanent gameday duty. Obviously, Brian is responsible for the Twins suddenly finding their bats. (just kidding Riverbrian) (maybe not)
  19. I cannot hate a team that: 1. Had a HOF'er named Ryne Sandberg. 2. Had Andy McPhail. 3. Is the touchstone for franchise futility.
  20. I think interleague play should be limited to natural rivals, LA and the Dodgers, Giants versus Oakland, Twins versus Milwaukee, etc. I like interleague play, but I think it has gone a bit too far and needs to be scaled back a bit. Also, see my game thread regarding interleague play here: http://twinsdaily.com/topic/18517-game-thread-twins-vs-brewers-607-1110-am-pacific-time-110pm-ct-grizzled-veteran-edition/ Unless the NL decides to introduce the DH (and I would prefer they don't) ground rules are ground rules.
  21. What would I give up for a sure thing? Since It would mean the end of ripping management, players, random fans, TD mods, posters and the like, I'm not willing to give up anything. Sorry, that's just a bridge too far. In fact, the suggestion borders on heresy.
  22. 1 run game. No matter the outcome, still appreciate that the Twins are still in the game.
