Listened to the Houston feed, wanted to strangle the announcers. Kept going on and on about Gerrit Cole and his fabulous start. Yeah, whatever, watch Perez take apart your lineup and shut up about Cole.

6 outs to go. Be cool to see the Twins shut out Houston again.

Prediction: Twins win the division, have to play Houston in the playoffs, after Houston owns the Twins during the regular season, shades of the 87 Tigers, and the Twins advance, beating Houston in 5. If this comes true, I am going to buy as many lottery tickets as I can afford.

Last time I saw Hernandez, he was pretty restrained behind the plate. Which surprised me. to say the least.

I'm resigned to Sano having an excellent career, with a team other than the Twins. Something just doesn't seem to be there for Sano when it comes to playing for the Twins.

Things are going just the way I thought they would. (I may get a lot of use out of that particular image this year)

Fortunately, Schoop has a much better arm than Dozier. (Sorry, Mr. Dozier.) I did like the fact Polanco made sure he got the out at second. That was a big deal.

Adrianza with the winning dinger and Odorizzi goes 7 shutout innings.

Okay, who complained yesterday about the games against Baltimore being boring? Did this game meet your expectations?

I will now go breathe again.

How amusing will it be if Adrianza's dinger is the deciding run?

Some old school baseball this evening.

Watching Odorizzi, something struck me: While he's very deliberate on the mound, there doesn't seem to be a lot of wasted motion.

Supposedly, it's Jake Odorizzi, but, from what I've seen, I have my doubts.

Come on, Twins, let's hand Houston a Blyleven style loss!

If you had to look it up, I guess you answered your own question.

    Excellent job, Mr. Odorizzi.

    Here, you can borrow this.

I would like to see the Twins win a 1-0 game against Houston. The Twins need to show they can pitch against the better teams.
  23. Blake
Might be something to those analytics thingies.
  24. Blake
Adrianza home run: Saw that one coming. Odorizzi 123 inning: Saw that one coming.

Verlander sure is fun to watch, when he's pitching against anyone other than the Twins.
