  1. Can you give me some examples of instances other sports where it is routine to retaliate physically when an opposing player accidentally commits a foul? Keywords routine and accidentally. I don't mean isolated instances or times when the retaliation is for a dirty play. Is it routine in the NFL to physically retaliate when a player accidentally commits a pass interference or facemask penalty? In the NBA if a player accidentally fouls you when you are shooting is it routine to retaliate against them or their teammate? Baseball is the only sport I see where it's routine to plan a retaliation for an accidental foul.
  2. All the more reason to not let money sway the pick.
  3. This doesn't happen in other sports though. So apparently world class athletes are capable of controlling their anger.
  4. Intent matters. Nobody thinks Haley intentionally threw at the guy, retaliation is absurd. Sano should not accept it.
  5. Unfortunately, I think war with North Korea is inevitable, whether it's next year or 15 years from now. They are going to keep trying to put a nuke on an intercontinental missile, and eventually they will figure out how, and that madman can't be allowed to have that under any circumstance.
  6. I honestly don't know how the answer to Santana isn't yesterday. I really don't get how he's even on the roster, let alone getting occasional starts.
  7. The Blues made mistake after mistake in OT and the wild didn't capitalize. Wild make one mistake and the Blues pounce. This team needs finishers, badly.
  8. I can't believe this is a thing. These guys are willing to hurt their team (by getting tossed) because they'd rather play "post anthem standoff" than baseball- which they are being paid for, by the way. What a bunch of clowns.
  9. Well, now through 30 are going to be his physically peak years, so they are already set in that regard. There is no point in playing service time games with Garver at this point.
  10. Why would service time even be a consideration for Garver? He's already under team control through his age 33 season at a minimum.
  11. I haven't been able to watch many games yet, with so many day games. What's up with Pressly? Just SSS noise? Or something in his delivery or velocity to be worried about?
  12. Yeah, I think 5 million would still make him one of the top 10 or 12 highest paid RB's. Maybe someone takes a chance at that price because of his name and what he used to be, but he's far from a top 12 running back at this point.
  13. Apparently Sid misquoted a Peter King snippet saying that he would be willing to take 5 million OR less, not 5 million less.
  14. Calls like that really irk me. I'm not buying that a mlb umpire is just that terrible at seeing the ball. So that tells me that he just decided, screw the rules, I pick my own strike zone. It's one thing to miss a call here and there, I don't have a problem with that. But it's this type of stuff that makes me want automated strike zones.
  15. And high school mound height directly correlates with maturity and mental toughness. You learn something new every day.
  16. Rosario didn't have a great year last season. But it wasn't awful either. His 2016 numbers as a good defensive 4th outfielder would be an asset. I'd like to see an upgrade in LF, but Rosario's move should be to the bench as a good 4th outfielder, not cut from the organization.
  17. How do they compare to Park's regular season numbers?
  18. You don't lose your waiver position by claiming a player.
  19. I'd rather have Hicks than Murphy. And I said that at the time of the trade too. Murphy's tools just didn't match up with his production for NY. I'm not going to get too worked up over it though. Also, I don't think we need a 4th outfielder. I think we have one in Rosario. We need a starting left fielder.
  20. Much lower. Historically it's 2.2%. 4 times in 184 chances a team has come back from down 3-0.
  21. I think you mean Dozier might be getting him into trouble.
  22. The Blues look like the team that want it more. And it's not even close. If we get swept, which I think we will, I think it's time to let Fletcher go and do a full tear down and rebuild. I've never met any of them, but this team appears to lack mental toughness.
  23. I agree Yeo had to go. The team openly quit on him. If we get knocked out by the Blues, Fletcher has to go. Unless the goal is one and done every year, but I think the owner expects more than that.
  24. It was a 60 foot shot, unscreened and untipped from a guy with 4 career goals. If that isn't soft, then why are you so concerned with the Wild's net front presence?
  25. Both Blues goals were as soft as butter. Just never know which Dubnyk is going to show up.
