4.43 ERA and 1.46 WHIP, would fit right in with our other #4 and #5 starters. Haven't we learned our lesson yet??? re: Paddack, DeSclafani, etc, etc. Please don't waste your time. Either shoot for someone better or don't do anything at all.
I told the wife today that I couldn't cut the lawn because my back hurt. I wouldn't be able to keep the lines perfectly straight. So I know how Miranda feels. Baseball is a rough game.
We do not have 3 quality playoff starters on this rostor. You need shut down pitchers in the playoffs, because you will be facing better 1 and 2 starters than what we have.
He will be the real deal when he can command the strike zone more consistently. Gets himself into trouble when he struggles throwing strikes. Then he will have a 10 pitch inning. Great stuff, needs better command. He will get there.
Amen! It is really ridiculous for young men that are supposed to be in the best shape of their lives. What the heck are they going to feel like in their 60's??
Manaea would not be an addition to this staff. He would be another 4 or 5 starter. We have plenty of them. Festa could be a godsend for this staff. If we trade for a pitcher, thinking we can make a run, we need another #1 or #2 starter. I use the term "another" very loosely.
Twins losses used to ruin my days/ nights also. But with this manager and front office moves (junk pile pitching acquisitions), I don't care nearly as much anymore. Plus not being able to watch the games make it easy to move on.
