  1. These recent west coast games have me very excited. Our offense is really coming around after the all star break. Our pitching in Oakland was not strong at all and it wasn’t very good in the first game of the Seattle series either. However in these last 2 games they are going back to their pre all star form. Twins look like they are finally having fun and playing with heart. Julien looks like a superstar with the at bats he takes and so does AK. I hope Pablo doesn’t struggle tmw like he did in oakland. Winning tmw would be big for this team and its confidence.
  2. An ugly win is a win. However, this certainly doesn’t feel like a true win considering our offense continues to look lost in big spots and just in general. Especially considering the twins seemed to have a tough time putting the worst team in baseball away makes me worried for when we face true competition. I know that they may pick it up soon and get going. But if this is how our team plays non competitive teams. I say we need to sell at the deadline. In no way shape or form should this game have been this close.
  3. This just sums up the whole twins season in one game. Also shows that our pitchers are human and not gods. I almost wished we got no hit just to let the game sink into the hitters minds. Make them think, “man… maybe we need to change our approach.” But also, I would like to point out how dead the dugout looks throughout the game. Even when the game was close nobody seemed to be cheering or rooting their teammates on. There are no leaders, no sparks, no friends in that dugout right now. Such a boring and disappointing team to watch. That somehow day in and out have me questioning, “god, when will this game end?” Seems the nightmare that is the 2023 Minnesota Twins is finally turning into sleep paralysis. For all of us.
  4. Surprise, surprise. Our offense has no clutch yet again. I don’t know how our FO or coaching seems to care? Our pitchers bust their butts day in and out trying to preserve games and keep our team in the game and our offense can only muster 0-2 runs a game. Sure, sonny wasn’t strong today, but I really hope after losing 1st place again our offense takes a long look in the mirror and wakes up. We are basically paying these guys to strike out and get weak contact at this point. Donnie barrels is the only consistent batter at this point. Offense NEEDS help by the deadline. Whether that be a big trade or simply a new hitting coach. Something needs to happen. Because obviously a team meeting doesn’t help.
  5. Although I love Luis Arraez and it would be a major gut punch to see him with a new team. However with how much value he brings to the table and how young he is right now I believe with the right team you could get an absolutely massive haul for him. I also think keeping him would be a great option because right now the twins are looking like a win now team and losing him would hurt the team more than I think anyone would want to fathom. Either way, I hope the front office makes the right decision.
  6. Well as a Twins fan it’s always hard to hold out hope they will sign big names or make big trades. However this time we offered him big money. Giants just came out with a ridiculous contract which will come back to haunt them… I do like how he held out however as that money we could have spent on him can now be used on a much needed position. Starting Pitching… Carlos Rodon to the Twins???
