  1. How can the Twins rotation lineup to get Berrios on the mound for a potential Game 3 in Minnesota? He has been so much better at home than on-the-road this season, to the point that I would be extremely wary of having him start anywhere other than Target Field no matter how deep the Twins play this October (and November?)
  2. Maybe if they push the start time back to 2-2:30pm. It's a get-away day for both teams... Twins are only going to Cleveland, and White Sox are going home, so that's doable.
  3. So it's come to this again: leave/turn off the game when the bullpen comes in, lead or no lead.
  4. Target Field has a text message option for reporting to security I believe, so you can do it more anonymously, or at least make it less-likely someone around you could hear you (if you're afraid of retaliation.) Not sure if security at an older stadium like Fenway is on-par with Target Field, but they can train a camera on a section of seats from up near the tv and radio announcing booths, and monitor action from there (wouldn't help them "hear" but they could see if fans were behaving unruly.)
  5. Sano was laughing as he began that swing. He knew it before he hit it. How many batters can do that?
  6. Great... the strikeouts have moved from Buxton to Dozier...
  7. Buxton is pulling his head. A lot. On every swing. And on non-swings he's not watching the ball either. He needs to sit until he can re-learn the "keep your eye on the ball" rule we all learn in Little League.
  8. C'mon Hughesie: Momentum is back in Twins' favor. Keep it going.
  9. Is that what a team is supposed to do with the bases full? Not strikeouts and bouncers?
  10. Factoids from Blyleven: - Today is Gibson's 100th major league start' - Dozier is now tied with Jacque Jones for most leadoff homeruns for the Twins. Yay learning!
  11. If we play .500 from here on out, we'll match our record in 2015. That's good.
  12. That is the issue facing Buxton now (which was the issue that faced Buxton, Sano, and Rosario during the Twins' dreadful April '16): he is swinging and missing at garbage, so all he is getting is garbage. Lay off the down and away curves and sliders, and eventually they'll have to throw a fastball middle-in.
  13. "And if we win again tomorrow, it's called a 'winning streak'." - Lou Brown, "Major League 2." I guess the Twins are technically in the midst of a winning streak.
  14. So... Keep Buxton batting third to show confidence, or drop him to 8th or 9th to take some of the pressure off?
  15. Would be the nice if the Twins' bats erupted an inning earlier today; do it in the bottom of the 6th, not the 7th. I trust this bullpen more with a big lead than I do if the game's tied.
  16. An intentional walk to Sano, and (just my prediction here) another unintentional walk to Castro.
  17. That didn't take long to get the lead back. I like this team. Responding immediately.
  18. Can't hit a homerun to left because of the wind? A bases-loaded triple to right works even better.
  19. Castro has reached base in six of his first seven Twins' at-bats. That's... that's pretty good for a defense-first catcher.
  20. Sano after that flyout to Gordon:
  21. I'm a fan that our IT team set up a VPN at work, so I'm able to watch MLB.tv today!
