For the second time in four games thielbar loads the bases with no outs and gets out of it. We have some pitchers who may not have the best stuff but they are bulldogs and compete hard : thielbar, smeltzer, bundy, archer.

Master of the obvious, but quite the bargain at 14 million if he can stay healthy.

I still find it shocking to see correa in a twins uniform.

Any word on E Rodriguez injury?

Bullpen let us down in games 1 and 3. Bullpen seems to be the biggest difference between the twins and yanks.

    Not a success.

His swing is butter. Not sure why it is always lefties with the prettiest swings, but Larnach owns that distinction for the twins.

Miranda has really turned it around. Assumed he'd be sent back down when guys started coming off the dl. Maybe not.

Yes. Last two yrs of blyleven I watched the games on mute. Morneau is really good.

Agree. Players should not have been put in this position. Rays could have celebrated the night while still respecting the diversity of their players' beliefs. Kudos to these players, as you wrote.

Goal coming in was to win 1 out of 3. Mission accomplished. Not feeling great about tomorrow either, but playing with house money at this point I guess.

Just got in from pickleball. Thought we had about as much chance of winning tonight as me driving by a raising cane's without stopping. Hard to understand baseball sometimes.

Goal is to win one game in Toronto. Have 0.0 chance of winning tonite. So is our best chance bundy beating berrios or smeltzer beating gaussman?

Find a way to go 3-6 over the next nine games. Hope chicago and cleveland play under .500. Amazing that we are in front by 4.5 when considering where we'd be in any other division.

I am new to this site and was heartened to see the warning of no politics, just baseball regarding this issue. Then the article mocking my viewpoint. An article mocking the other viewpoint would never be allowed. Was hoping this could be a site just about baseball.

Take a look at how many people under 18 have died of coronavirus compared to other causes of death. Even under age 45 compared to other causes. Then consider all the damage we have done to people regarding education, losing businesses, losing jobs, etc. These folks are not selfish and it's wrong to call them such. Half the country would support kepler, this is not some looney fringe.

Little more of a Kepler fan myself.

I am vaxed and believe vaxes are safe, but have no idea how you can't see the hypocrisy here. Gives me flashbacks of our political leaders making rules the past couple years and then so often getting caught breaking those rules themselves. Again, I will consider myself rebuffed when I see an article defending these players and mocking the provaxers. Anyway, that sounds pretty grumpy. Will blame it on the Twins play putting me in a bad mood.

I appreciate your response and believe you are sincere. I'm new here so not sure how TD rolls, but this article seems so contrary to a warning I saw in another thread to stay apolitical. Will consider myself rebuffed when I see a TD article mocking provaxers and defending the twins who aren't vaxed.
  20. Puckettsprintstofirst
Would Stu have been allowed to mock the pro vaxers?
  21. Puckettsprintstofirst
The word "hypocritical" comes to mind.

Lots of questions with pitching right now. Are we going to see a June Swoon? Would be very frustrating to see all the good work the last two months fade away. Smeltzer our best available starter, who would've thought that a few weeks ago. Would be great if Canterino, Balazovic, SWR could step into a bullpen role. Seems like the pitching is teetering right now. May need the offense to carry the load for time being and hope the pitching sorts things out. Can't afford defensive lapses like we saw today, no room for error.

    Agree to disagree
  24. Puckettsprintstofirst
I just feel his article is unfair to the players. Will leave it at that.
  25. Puckettsprintstofirst
Souhan is the worst. Strange lineup today and am sure will be even more so in Toronto. Hopefully we'll have our scheduled starters, duran, smith, and thielbar.
