Maybe Royce should watch and see what Luke does with pitches on the outer edge of the strike zone.

I did not like the Varland trade, but I think I would enjoy watching this lineup next year: 3b Lewis SS Lee 2b Keachall 1b Clemens? Lf Walker Jenkins Cf Buxton Rf Wallner DH Larnach, Rodriguez Couldn't be any worse than this year.

It has taken him a long time to develop the consistency he has now. That's on him as well.

Trading Jax and Varland threw the next 2 years away.

Easy as can be...just sweep the Dodgers and we're back to. 500

Wow, 3.82 ERA in college this year. I wonder what that would translate to in the majors.

Terrible having someone on the team that limits strikeouts and pop ups...hits for some power...and bats 25 points above the league average

Stupid baseball not to bunting in that situation

Just caught the game on the radio...Anthony La Planta is REALLY good.

I've always liked his stuff...but...enough is enough

What are your thoughts about bunting the runner to 3rd with no outs? Or runners on 1st and 2nd with no outs and bunting the runners up?
  12. Galen
Great win...looks like Zebby might be a 2 inning guy

I'm not sure who this new pitcher is...this Chris Padduck guy...but I sure like him.

On to .500, then I'll feel better

At some point...if a team plays terrible baseball...over a long period of time...I mean terrible baseball...shouldn't we fire the manager?

Should be easy to get some good tickets for us out-of-towners

Ober 73 pitches yesterday. Festa 63 pitches today. At this pace our starters will be built up to going 3 innings each.
  18. Galen
Maybe next time they'll build up Ober's stamina with 74 or 75 pitches.

In a land far away, a long time ago (when David Ortiz was a young player), the Twins were punch hitters, played good defense, hit behind runners, and played good defense. Now, defense is lousy, nobody hits behind the runner, strikes out, pops up, can't run the bases, and swings for the fences every at bat. A little middle ground please.

    Arrogance has it's price

Farmer hitting 5th? Martin hitting 6th? Really?
  22. Galen
Thank you...it feels worse than that.

Is there a specific stat for: Runners scoring from 2nd & 3rd with less than 2 out? Or Moving runners up with less than 2 out? Twins can't be much better than the White Sox in those categories.
  24. Galen
    No

Good thing Twins pitching coaches are smarter than everyone else
