    If Larnach, Bell, and Roden are all still on the Twins after the deadline, there really isn't room for corner OF's. Normally a team that is trying to win, as the Twins say they are buyers, doesn't bring up prospects.

    13 homers in that Fort Myers league certainly is impressive for Q. Young as that isn't known as a homer league.

    Agreed on the playing time as the Twins aren't ready to bring up Jenkins yet. Good news for Rosario - the Twins like him enough to want him to play every day. Bad news - he's the odd man out when everyone is healthy for the Saints right now.

    Tait - but no talk about his defense, which hasn't been good as far as base stealers (again, granted he is young for his league). That's what is going to make or break him as a catcher in the bigs.

    Is it on him or the 1st base coach. Lee hits the ball hard. As he runs to first, he is watching if it lands and where it ends up if it does. Wouldn't the 1st base coach be the one responsible for telling him to stop at first as he should have his eyes at least somewhat on the runners in front of Lee? Curious what everyone thinks.

    Do MLB teams ever do 3 way trades - Twins trade Jeffers, team B gives prospects as listed in the article for Jeffers, team C gets those prospects (or maybe different prospects) and gives the Twins a quality bullpen guy. Jeffers for a quality bullpen guy probably is overpay so maybe the Twins get a prospect somehow as well.

    Good article but I disagree on the Twins defense being a surprise. Many thought it would be bad and projected Bell at 1B, Lee at SS, and Wallner in RF. Obviously the Twins came to the same conclusion and almost none of those happen now.

    If the 13th guy is starting 4 or 5 days a week, that means starters are on the bench for 4 or 5 days per week more.

    Are the runs scored in the minors overall up from previous years? It sure feels like it. Anyone have thoughts on why?

    Many including me said the trades last year were good or great EXCEPT for the Varland trade. Trading cheap, closer material that was under team control (and from MN) just didn't look good as someone predicted to be the closer. I want Bradley. Good trade.

    Kudos to Sizemore. The Twins outfield also suddenly looked much better after Wallner went to St. Paul.

    Luis Fragoza - is it correct that we got him as a free agent? How, as it seems like he should have been drafted? Maybe I missed it from another story.

    Irony - we want some of trade chips to play great so they have the highest trade value and then those players suddenly play so well that we can't trade them because we are in the race for the playoffs?

    I think he needs more consistent (non-injury time) at AAA. Bring him up in late August if he's hammering the ball. Bonus then is if he gets rookie of the year in 2027, the Twins get an extra 1st round pick (unless the new CBA would eliminate that). Those are gold for teams like the Twins.

    Thanks for the article. I do disagree about the Twins surprising starting pitching depth. There were articles asking if we should trade from the great pitching depth. Smartly, the Twins didn't trade and that depth has been needed due to injuries.

    Fans don't think the Twins ownership is trying to win. Worse yet, they think that ownership is just trying to -make money off of us with the low payroll. For both, a great example is the Twins bullpen. Thus, low attendance.

    Even though the sample size is small this year, if I read correctly, his career sample also ranks him low. He may just not be a good fielder. Athleticism doesn't always translate to being a good fielder - see Keaschall.
