    A better way to phrase it is...which team lost less or lost the least? I think we lost the least on the trade. Especially now since they dumped Polanco.

    Everybody also forgets that Miranda got hit in the head with a pitch at the end of July. He apparently wasn't hurt and didn't miss a lot of time, but he wasn't the same hitter after that. I believe that was a big reason for his decline at the plate in the second half.

    It'll be another off season of dumpster diving and bargain bin hunting. Despite what the team is saying about payroll, I wouldn't be shocked if they look to shed even more salary than the guys we expect to see shopped or dropped. This stuff is getting real old.

    Wow! This one came out of left field...pardon the pun. I honestly didn't think he fit into the mix going forward, but I sure didn't expect him to abruptly retire. Best of luck to him, in whatever direction his life path happens to go.

    For some reason, I've always thought that Larnach was a guy who should/could be switched over to 1B. Now would be the perfect time to give it a try.

    I don't think there's any doubt that the Twins are a more attractive buy....now let's hope we find a buyer that wants to prioritize the team and get to the next level!

    If you google "sailing the ship without a rudder"...it brings up info about the Pohlads. Now...how did that happen?

    I do think that they're going to try and sell the team, but trying to find a buyer and actually selling is another story.

    Clean up the books? Seems to me, that trading away some of your best assets isn't the right way to make the franchise attractive to a potential buyer.

    It's impossible to know if this is a good move or not...yet They probably need to change the philosophy for the entire organization. I hope he knows what the heck he's doing, and I wish him the very best of luck.

    I agree with a few of the previous statements...the only thing good about the Pohlad's is...they aren't anywhere near as bad as Calvin Griffith.

    I mentioned Bezos and Cuban in the other thread, and got a bunch of thumbs down. I'd take Cuban as the next owner in a heartbeat.

    Didn't think I'd live to see even the possibility of this happening...and I still might not, but I LOVE the idea of different ownership. Sure, we could get someone/some group the same or worse, but we could get someone much better and who actually cares about winning, as well as the profits. Put a better product on the field and that will put fans in the seats. Change can be very good!

    I'd actually PREFER it to be someone from outside of Mn. I was just pointing out that there isn't anyone here who could do it. I have zero concerns about the team moving. None.

    If this isn't some kind of smoke-screen...it has to be a person, or group, from outside of Mn. There's nobody locally with that kind of moolah to buy the Twins.
