    The guy is total scum, but if the Dodgers pay most/all of his 2023 salary, I'd bet some team will pick him up.

    Always like Esco and hated that we traded him, even though Duran was one of the players we got back for him. That turned out ok. Wouldn't mind him back. Hendriks would be a decent get, but there's no way that the Sox trade him to us. The other guys...fuggettaboutit.

    I've lost what little respect I had for this FO...and that sure wasn't much. I wouldn't count on them to make the right move on anyone, or anything. Bassitt would have been the guy to go after, with Thor next. Apparently, we didn't try for either one. Sure looks to me that we're gonna roll with the starters we've got. They better make some moves for RP's, or we'll be in deep doo doo.

    Oh well...looks like it's about time to start bringing in the 5th tier FA's, and see if we can strike gold. That usually works for us...doesn't it?

    I've read a lot of opinions that feel Lewis is going to come back good as ever, mid 2023 season, just waltz right into the SS job, and make us forget all about Correa. I think we should pump the brakes on that a little bit and just wait and see what happens. Obviously, that would be great, but I sure wouldn't bet on it at this point. We really haven't seen that much of him at the major league level, and although he looked pretty good when he played last season, I think it's extremely early to be counting on him for that. He's also had two serious knee surgeries. Maybe he has issues with the knee when he comes back? Maybe he loses some speed/range/etc? Maybe it affects him at the plate? Who knows if he even does come back next season? Stranger things have certainly happened. My point is...I don't know if we can count on him for 2023 or not just yet. I'll believe it when I see it.

    Lindor is staying at ss, and Correa moves to 3rd. Like Jeter and Arod did. Apparently they're buddies.

    This is REALLY strange, but I honestly can't see this blowing the deal with SF. They'll end up getting it done. He won't be coming back to the Twins. Interesting situation though. I wonder what the medicals showed, because other than getting drilled on the hand, he was fine all season here.

    No...on Eovaldi, Pollock, KImbrel, and Britton. Big no, on Grienke. I like Drury, but I doubt they go after him.

    Don't like the Gallo signing at all. We didn't need him and we could've used $11 mil in a lot better ways. Like keeping Urshela. Or a reliever or two. Sure, Gallo can probably fall out of bed and hit 30-35 homers and get a decent amount of walks, but he's also gonna hit .200 and strike out close to 200 times. Big time rally killer, just like Sano. Gallo makes no sense for this team.

    I don't think anyone really expected them to resign Correa. Would it have been nice? Yep, but it was pretty obvious that he was going to be out of the range that the Twins would pay. Ok, now you have to move on to the other FA's. There definitely were/are some that would seem to fit and help us. Vasquez looks to be a good get. There were some pitchers that sure would look good in a Twins uni, but they either didn't get any interest from our FO, or they got better offers. I'm not smart enough, or informed enough, to know exactly what our FO is thinking and what the plan is. The Gallo signing is just baffling. I hope there are some more signings and moves to be made. There's still time left before ST. This FO has made plenty of moves right up to, and after ST. Maybe it'll all come together somewhat before then. I sure hope so.

    I would have rather kept Gio for around the same money. We didn't need Gallo, and he's not worth $11 mil.

    This HAS to be a RandBalls Stu thing...right? This can't possibly be correct, can it? We just got rid of one homer happy strike out guy, and now we get his left handed clone? So what if he's good defensively, WE DON'T NEED GALLO! I'm jumping on the bandwagon with Brock...I'm done with this FO. They must be insane. WTF we need this guy for, I have no idea. I'll take Kep any day over Gallo.

    At this point...I'd lean toward doing a full rebuild. Blow it up and start over. Let ALL the kids play. Just like the 1980's. At least that might be fun to watch. It's obvious this FO/ownership isn't going to spend the money necessary to land any of the top FA's out there. Even the one(s) we desperately need. It's just not in their business model plan. Getting Correa last season was a total fluke. Even though there's time left before ST, it sure doesn't look like that they're really trying to make any trades to help things out. All we've done is sign a catcher...which we absolutely had to do. If by some miracle, we'd make the playoffs, we'd get bounced right away by whomever we play. No matter what, it's the same old story here. I love the Twins, and I won't stop watching them, but I know how this tale turns out.

    Now that CC went to the Giants, the market/money for Swanson goes even higher. I doubt we get him. Get ready for Farmer and whomever else they might bring in here at short.

    Insane money. Our FO/ownership wasn't going to do that. Best of luck to him. NOW...it gets interesting. What will the FO do with Swanson, if they want to pivot to him...and what will they do as far as trades and other FA's?
