  1. I bet Ms Frank is a pretty nice lady
  2. I think I saw this game last weekend with Santana on the mound
  3. It's a shame those UMD hockey fans aren't back in Chicago
  4. If Berrios steps in and gets things rolling the starting pitching will be in good shape to keep the Twins in contention
  5. Can anyone explain to me why teams ever play the infield in in the first 7 innings?
  6. I thought I read Tyler Jay was in extended spring training now and is pitching well. Of course Kyle Gibson pitched well in major league spring training, but the good news is he is healthy and pitching in games despite no statistical evidence. I'd still expect to see him in the majors by seasons end if he's as good as he should be.
  7. Meanwhile Sano is halfway to matching Rendon
  8. And if you take him away the rest of the team still had an OPS above 1.000 for the day. Double check it was above 1.2
  9. Game time pushed back an hour. Bullpen should be fresh. looking at the radar they probably can get it in, but I wouldn't be surprised if they had another delay.
  10. Robbie Grossman is making about $635 per OPS * 1000, Joe Mauer is making about 41,667. Normally I would say Mauer will settle into the good enough player he's been the last two or 3 years, but that barley good enough player started the last two years hot, he has now been a not good enough player for a full calander year.
  11. It's about a win every 4th day, and that's the difference between a best season in 50+ years and worst
  12. The difference between 57 wins and 100 as a winning percentage isn't that huge. Baseball can change on some really small things. The bad news is the difference between 6 wins and zero wins also isn't much even if it can mean everything at the end of the season. It takes a couple months to be able to bank enough wins to be able to survive a slump. Still need Buxton to step up a little and a pitcher to emerge. Maybe Santana is doing that but he's 34 years old and has never been an ace before so he'll probably regress.
  13. He would sound a lot smarter if he said he didn't want him to go over 96 pitches.
  14. Never checked if the Indians lost yesterday. They sure did, the Twins might be able to put this division away before the trade deadline at this rate.
  15. I gotta stop watching with the pitch tracker on my computer. I can't stand bad home plate umps.
  16. I guess if the batters knees are 5 feet off the plate the umpire has no clue where the strike zone is. Awful call on that pitch. If anything you error on the side of a strike on those pitches to begin with.
  17. I was so upset when the GM search demanded he would be brought back but I'm loving everything that Falvey has done so far, and Molitor is looking good. I felt last years awful season coming and it was because of Molitor, but while Falvey deserves the majority of the credit this team wouldn't be succeeding if Molitor wasn't doing his part. My expectations are very high so I'm not sure I'll be happy with Molitor for long but as long as they go .500 from here on out I'm happy.
  18. Whats FSN1? Unless this is something I'm unaware of I'm pretty sure you would still need to get MLB extra innings or games would be blacked out.
  19. How can every player on the team lose on the same day? What a bunch of losers.
  20. If Buxton batted third the infield would have been playing for the double play his sharp grounder would get to the outfield and the Twins would have had a big first inning, instead the games over in the second inning. Fire Paul Molitor.
  21. He hit it to hard usually he's safe when the fielder misplays it
