    Given the 10 day DL list I sure hope day to day means one of two things, he plays or goes to the DL tomorrow. I don't want to throw his defense away for potentially 7 or 8 extra games but time away wouldn't be the worst for him.

    A great outing from Santana even if it seems routine at this point and a little offense make the sting and fear of what yesterday might turn into go away pretty easily. Just finish this out without any damage.

    Joe Mauer is 2 tenths of a percent to the hall of fame in the last 2 days alone. It's a long shot still but it won't take many more multi hit games for him to crack 2000 hits, and with his defense I'm not as convinced he's in his final 2 or 3 years. If he can just hit .270 for 5 years and avoid injuries he will get close enough to 3000.

    12 minutes times 9 is 1:48 minutes throw in an extra three minutes for the inning the run gets scored and we're looking at ending the game after 3 PM

    If this pitcher for the Astros are as efficient as his stats suggest we might get to the 15th inning before we hit 3 hours.

    Have umpires been told there no longer allowed to throw guys out for arguing balls and strikes. 4 years ago even that little disagreement would have been dealt with harshly by a lot of umpires.

    No they lost the game because they were out at the plate twice, that's a minimum of 2 extra runs, after the closer got done giving up 2 runs the game was tied. I get it if the closer had blown a handful but as closers go he's been good.

    They lost the game because they made outs on the bases, some of that with borderline calls that could have gone either way. Sometimes it's just bad luck. Outs on the bases are worse then defensive errors in most cases but at the same time you need to be aggressive. You just never know when these things are going to bite you.

    We could but then we would still have a horrible catcher and would have about 16 wins at this point.

    It has nothing to do with being a good team, you didn't want to score exactly one run in that situation.

    They decreased the chances of scoring two which is fine if one doesn't result in your starting pitcher Wednsday pitching. This isn't the 11th inning this was a game that needed to end hopefully with a win but if not oh well.

    Had Rosario hit into a DP and then everything following happened the same we would have still scored one run. There was a really good chance Rosario wasn't gonna hit into a double play.

    In a normal situation that's fine because your playing for either one or two, but if your next pitcher out is a starter you need to be playing for zero or two.

    I would have much rather lost the game there then started trotting out starting pitchers. Should have played for the win period. Although we do now have a huge advantage.

    why the blank are we playing for the tie. Your stretching a relief pitcher out and must score and you bunt. I said yesterday Molitor was making good decisions. He's been pathetic today.
