  1. I think we basically agree, by question is if none of the other top 4 or 5 give them a bargain do they end up with their true #1 and is that Greene.
  2. Does anyone else feel like the Twins are floating out all these non Hunter Greene names to try to get a kid excited about going #1 and increase the chances they will take less? I kind of feel like there's a good chance in the end the twins go with Greene after none of these other guys give them the discount they want. In the past I've heard insiders don't get any info out of Falvey but the confidence some of these mockers seem to have as they change the Twins pick every day suggest the twins are leaking these names. No reason to do that unless it's either a done deal or your trying to get the info out for a purpose. Also if your Greene's agent don't you call the Twins about now and say you'll take 6.5?
  3. My #1 hope is whoever we get comes in 2+ million under slot with the player being no worse then a top 5 projected pick. Royce Lewis seems to be the guy that would best fit. I'm also curiuse what happens to Hunter Greene. If he goes #2 does he sign slightly over slot, if he drops below 2 then what. Because of all these factors could the twins convince him to come in slightly under slot. A lot of phone calls with agents to be made in the next 5 hours, the current rules are easily manipulated to a teams advantage at #1. Also lets try to get hacked It's comical the best team in baseball with pleanty of great prospects on the way is getting all those extra picks.
  4. I wonder if the Tigers or even the White Sox will realize this division might be had with as little as 85 wins and make an aggressive deal early. Not sure what impact players are available at this point but there's no reason any of the 5 teams can't win this division. I suppose the Royals could try too but that seems like a dumb move for them and they don't normally make dumb moves.
  5. I think my wife would like to put about half a million dollars into a $200,000 house. I hate the process of selling so it kind of seems like the way to go rather then buying a $280,000 house with everything we want.
  6. Anyone notice that run producing RBI from Vargas that is a result of a failed plate appearance. Dick Breamer is making this way more dramatic then it should be but in theory if it was a 3 or 4 run game instead that at bat was a total failure.
  7. I wonder if the Twins could trade for Dyson
  8. 2nd time today I've seen that play. Both times managers argued. Calls went both for and against the correct call.
  9. they should be fine if they can handle all us byto morons. What happened to rube chat, to much logical discussion getting in the way of the attempt to brainwash?
  10. If we were in the NL I would care, but I don't. If they fail as pitchers they won't be worth the #1 pick, if they don't fail as pitchers the bat will almost never matter. Even Babe Ruth really didn't do both at the same time much.
  11. Yankees after 6 first inning runs on the Orioles yesterday they get 5 today. I prefer the bullpen being the flaw. Of course Baltimore bullpen is probably worse then ours too. Hopefully ESPN still has a job for Buck Showalter
  12. Today is potentially magic #100 day, which means scoreboard watching becomes slightly more legit. With that I give you this tip if you have Direct TV but don't have the MLB package. Channel 720. Even better when games are on at odd times and they only split it down to 4 or less screens.
  13. I think I might try to start an out of slot chant at the ball park tomorrow night.
  14. I don't know enough about the draft class as a whole but it seems to me unless you see one of those two as a can't miss you might be better off drafting out of slot and then having enough money to draft a 2nd top 10-15 prospect at 35. Plus I love the idea of going with a position player with any early first round pick. I know either has the potential to be 10 time All-Stars but when pitchers don't live up to it they're #3 starters at best when position players bust you can usually still get some meaningful contribution out of them.
  15. Umpires guessing where the strike zone is again!!!!
  16. The Twins are 17 outs away from a full 2 game lead and 44 outs and a run away from a 2 and a half game lead or in other words the Indian's trail the White Sox 2-1 with one out in the bottom of the 4th.
  17. Wow only a single? That used to be a triple for Buxton when he was yonger
  18. I can't stand bunting for strike one and then taking the bunt off. I'd keep the bunt on with 2 strikes more often then not. You can strike out without bunting the ball foul too.
  19. Either that or bring Kitzler in for a 6 out save
  20. It's funny the heckler doesn't even say anything when the Twins are up, maybe he's not a heckler maybe it's the Mariners 1st base coach.
  21. I'll take a walk as much as the next guy, but why is there a heckler who probably paid decent money for a good seat actively rooting for walks before the pitch is thrown? That pitch Gibson threw easily could of been hit solidly. Good eye after the fact on a pitch that close is a bit much to begin with, but this heckler is unlike any other.
  22. I think it was a snapper mow em down inning
  23. I'm usually pretty confident with Gibson on the mound. Wait I probably shouldn't do that tonight.
