  1. After Gruber it's easy to go back and say people were open and honest about true intent. But if you ever once said oh come on nobody's saying single payer as is related to the actual bill being discussed then it's the exact same thing. The problem with remembering correctly the significance of Gruber is that everyone that pays attention from either side understood true intent before Gruber spelled it out. Maybe true intent on guns isn't to slowly tear away all gun rights one by one but after we change this set of laws we will have another mass shooting, then what? I already know.
  2. The problem with third party candidates usually is it limits the potential votes to people that like to reject candidates. This year might be different because a much more reasonable person could easily reject both Clinton and Trump. I'll wait until after the convention to worry about what I'm doing but as much as I would want the punish Republicans with a Clinton vote that probably can't happen meaning Johnson will easily get my vote. I was hopeful I was done voting third party again and still am hopeful I can vote for Scott Walker or Ted Cruz on the Republican ballot line. By the way saw a poll today with Trump at 29, most polls have him in the 36 to 38 range, so Johnson won't have a ton to get into this contest with or without the debates. Clinton's poll numbers are also remarkably low considering she should have over 60% of the vote to work with. This is not a normal election, I wish the alternative was better then Johnson but he might play better with the masses.
  3. 4 years ago I couldn't find you one person who was open and honest about ObamaCare. We didn't need Johnathan Gruber to tell us what was actually going on but we were still called paranoid back then. Gruber made clear why Democrats do things the way they do. They can't even get a vote on this issue for good reason. Terms like "common sense" and "things we all agree on" aren't going to work because we are aware how the game is played and what the desired end result is. Sorry, maybe if the Democrats had no history of playing dirty we could give a little on this issue but we can't. By the way it's politics so I can respect playing dirty.
  4. Whats the incentive to have a vote? Good leadership is supposed to stop these votes. We can have a daily vote on every issue every morning, but much like the supreme court nominee there is no incentive to act.
  5. Those that do are smart enough not to try to do it all at once, but it's foolish to say a large portion of the anti gun crowd doesn't wants a total ban. Even those using the "common sense" and "things we can all agree on" argument aren't necessarily the reasonable people they seem. Some are of course but I don't need Jonathan Gruber to explain true intent.
  6. Who exactly did that? We thought this time we could focus on the real issue and not be forced in the silly gun debate once again. Not only are we having the gun debate nobody wants to even mention the Muslim religion not only teaches intolerance of gay people it teaches the punishment for gay people must be death. We had the gun debate 4 months ago everyone knows where the other side stands, everyone knows why the other side stands where they do. If you want a meaningful change in guns laws you either have to win more elections or have your politicians compromise on other issues. One things for certain the pro gun side of this debate did not start the debate this time.
  7. Probably because even a law abiding citizen can easily kill others with a car, also because of the 2nd amendment we all basically already have a gun license from birth. We can change the 2nd amendment through the required process, what we can't do is ignore it under the idea that something is "common sense" I know it requires thinking of some uncommon events but nearly every suggested solution requires Americans to face the possibility of not being allowed to defend themselves. I don't own a gun and never will but the enemy will never know that unless the laws restrict my access to a point where they have nothing to worry about.
  8. Google Islam and gay. Of course this murderer/terrorist hated gay people. By the way based on Hollywood and our media it wouldn't be shocking if people in Islamic countries think the majority of white people in this country are gay. I don't know if any of that really matters, he just as easily could have found a reason to target others clearly he was driven by hate.
  9. Well you can but chances are with that the 87 and 91 world series go away, plus as soon as you do it you're wife will have a new husband and you will have no clue where you actually live but hey you might be able to watch Michael Bradley play home games for the Twins at Netflix field.
  10. Exactly, as long as you're getting hit's often enough it doesn't matter how ugly your outs are, so far so good since the call up. It amazes me how hard people get on kids if they aren't dominating the first call up or two. Can't wait to see this team once Buxton Sano and Kepler start to hit consistently.
  11. I can't stand Paul Molitor. Sorry I'm not sure what it is about him but I dislike him more then I dislike Donald Trump. I'll try to control myself but when it comes to dealing with umps and protecting his players he's awful.
  12. I'd rather use a starter then try to put 7 innings togther with the rest of the bullpen. I imagine that's Baltimore's plan.
  13. according to my phone rain will stop in 60 minutes. Of course 5 minutes ago it said 55 minutes so who knows. Heavy for the first 45 of that.
  14. Get ejected the point is Santana wouldn't be throwing pitches and the tarp would come on. They have an open day no excuse for the Ump to let that happen.
  15. I think I recall calling a rain delay at the end of 2
  16. And the game is over, but hey good thing Santana got to chance it for 10 extra pitches in a downpour.
  17. He could say it's pouring I don't need to see my players injured. No excuse for not protecting your players.
  18. Molitor get out there and give this ump hell they shouldn't be playing in this crap.
  19. Good chance in the official stats not a single Twin has struck out yet. Get those tarps out.
  20. Actually this game is on pace to go infinity innings if both teams keep putting up zero's so a lot more strikeouts then that.
  21. Ok the first time it was a joke, but this is less of a joke. Fire Molitor.
  22. Do the Twins hitters have a tell? I sure hope so. On pace for about 23 strikeouts today.
  23. That's like giving up a bad break away and then the goalie coming up big. Except goalies don't have pitch counts.
  24. Bad first inning for the Twins, fire Molitor.
