  1. Michael A. needs to be on your revised list.
  2. You have to admit, the fact that the White Sox created a “Punch AJ” campaign for him to make the All Star Team in the Last Player Vote-In was absolutely perfect from every angle.
  3. Ha—I even looked up the transaction sections for Liriano and Escobar before I typed it, but still got it wrong! Thanks for correcting me. Anyway, even better symmetry, since AJ went on to win his ring with the White Sox.
  4. Yes, you’re right, I misspoke—not to each other, but they still were both acquired on the same day.
  5. I said this in the game thread - I’m annoyed at how much I like AJ as an announcer. He’s really good. Insightful, funny, down-to-earth, self-deprecating. It’s also pretty cool that the Twins traded AJ to the Giants for Francisco Liriano in 2003, who was traded to the [Blue Jays] [edited to] White Sox for Eduardo Escobar in 2012, who was traded for Jhoan Duran in 2018. Twenty years later, AJ in the booth, Duran closing out the win.
  6. Arraez for López looking pretty great this morning. Definitely moving up the list. It’s also fascinating that the Twins and Houston traded Pressly and Duran to each other five years ago - on the same day!
  7. I can’t overstate how much it annoys me that they interview players in the middle of the game. Just stop already.
  8. Ok, I’ll grant that. But you would at least acknowledge that the box is the box when it comes to inside and outside, right?
  9. I mean, there has to be an actual, defined strike zone, right? If not the white box, then…what?
  10. The minor leagues lived or died by the little white box this year. It is literally the strike zone.
  11. I don’t think Jeffers is lost, but I was surprised to see him in the lineup today. Or, I was surprised not to see Vazquez. But down 1-0…I get it.
  12. Four straight balls to Correa to start the AB. 2-2
  13. I’m willing to endure a Vikings loss in exchange for a Twins victory, if that is helpful, or on the table.
  14. I mean, I can think of ONE scenario in which it would be fun.
  15. Years and years of Yankees and Red Sox players disagree.
  16. Fair, but how many times were the Twins punched out looking on balls that were out of the zone? At least three by my count.
  17. If the Twins go into game 4 down 2-1, I’m glad they have Ryan ready to take that key start.
  18. Well, I also posted “LFG boys” and they scored four runs. I’m not sure my posts are determinative.
  19. Ok, I’ll bite. When is the last time a team overcame a 6-4 playoff deficit?
  20. When’s the last time a team overcame a 5-0 playoff deficit?
  21. It’s annoying how much I like him as an announcer.
