  1. As for this actual debate, the Kurt Suzuki experience would indicate that Pelfrey's early 2015 performance will be viewed as a the new norm, and vindication of their investment in him, rather than an aberration from his career numbers. Thus I would bet against Pelfrey getting traded. While we can hope that Pelfrey is healthy, improved, and has a better repertoire, I would also bet that his numbers in June 2016 look kind of like Suzuki's June 2015 numbers--in line with career numbers.
  2. While I agree with this plan, the mechanics of this approach are somewhat amusing. "Quick, Terry, trade him before you decide to do the opposite!"
  3. Perkins in the 9th in tied game at home...concur.
  4. If Buxton makes it to second...which it looks like he should have if Russell doesn't block the bag with his foot...he scores on the Rosario hit. I like the attempt.
  5. I suppose he could have tried to steal second.
  6. I'm just read through the thread be even though I did I am not sure why or how the photo of Kurt Suzuki and Ron Howard riding the Spongebob bike with the Marlboro Man while being tailed by Kate Hudson owl....happened.
  7. Is it too much to ask for a Buxton triple, infield single (on a routine ground out), a stolen base, and two snags of liners to the gap tonight?
  8. Great article. This is a nice problem to have. I think people should also consider the possibility of Trevor Plouffe playing some OF for the Twins moving forward...
  9. Kind of like trading Ramos because the Twins have Mauer to man catcher?
  10. Started June 3-9. Not great, but not terrible. This isn't desperation. Team is still well over .500, two games out of first, tied for a wild card spot. Just got a huge upgrade in defense. Get a W today and then aim for a split in St. Louis.
  11. Tobi--That is a fair call, if buzz-kill-worthy in your sober assessment. I'm adjusting the line accordingly to 4.5.
  12. Did not see a single 3B on that list. Can I expect and/or predict a pair of them today?
  13. I'm setting the over-under on triples for June at 5....which side do you want?
  14. How about the Twins platoon ABW with Kolton Kendrick?
  15. What happened to the first baseman? He's hitting 50 points below his career norm and getting on base 70 lower than normal.
  16. Just saw a Terry Ryan quote: "Someone is going to fall." Tate or Bregman? Could Brendan Rodgers somehow last until #6?
  17. Who I think the Twins will take: Tucker. Who I want the Twins to take: Aiken. Pick I would be disappointed with: Allard. Quite simply, Aiken seems to have the biggest upside of any player in the draft, and last year and six months ago it would have been impossible or considered impossible for the Twins to get him. It's of course a risk of being a whiff, but what the hell, swing for the fences.
  18. Agreed, great stuff...although I am but skeptical that the Miracle have played 53 extra inning games this year...
  19. It's a pretty good month for your minor league hitters when a guy hits 7 jacks in the month and only scores an honorable mention. The nine triples should also be as large font as possible. Wow.
  20. He compares Tucker to Christian Yelich, with more power. So I looked up the 2010 draft. Yelich was selected by the Marlins two pick after the Twins took.........
