  1. Yeah you're right on that. Although the problem with matching up with the other team and playing small then becomes rebounding. Whoever the Wolves put at the 3 and 4 when going small is almost always going to be at a disadvantage in that area against other teams' wings. Wiggins has seemed to be going after rebounds more aggressively lately, so hopefully he continues to improve on that.
  2. Tonight reminded me how frustrating it can be to watch Gibson pitch.
  3. A 95 MPH slider? In terms of must watch pitchers, he's right there with Kershaw, Fernandez, and Nolasco right now.
  4. Now make that 4 HRs in his first 3 career games.
  5. Everyone's late round fantasy target, Trevor Story, has 3 HRs in his first 2 career games. He probably won't hit for a real high average, but I wonder if 30 HRs is possible. I think I'd take that from my rookie shortstop.
  6. How does the ratio compare to Trevor Plouffe's 24 HR, 55 RBI season in 2012?
  7. Why can't it be the Wolves who force the issue though? Draymond Green can't guard KAT, and I like having two rim protectors out there. I understand what you're saying, but it's always a case of the Wolves trying to figure out mismatches instead of the other way around.
  8. At least there were no long 2's from Bazz. All dunks/layups, free throws, and 3's. Great game.
  9. I think I'd switch Detroit and KC in the Central. They might have one more really good year left in them before they start their decline phase.
  10. A first baseman who hits 20 or less HRs is going to have a tough time winning the MVP.
  11. Yeah that was a good one too. It sure seemed like there were way more blowouts than usual though.
  12. I was rooting for Marcus Paige and UNC. He really kept them in the game in the second half, and that tying three that he made is about as clutch as it gets.
  13. It might have salvaged a tournament that was pretty bad, besides the opening weekend.
  14. The Buxton needs some AAA time reaction is way over the top. He's usually taken some time to get going, and is pretty streaky. There's little doubt for me that he will start hitting soon.
  15. Yeah it's going to be a little weird seeing Batum for sure and probably Harrison Barnes, and other 2nd tier guys like that get max contracts this offseason. Batum would be great, as he contributes in every aspect of the game. The Wolves need more players with good all around games.
  16. I hope you're right, as I really enjoy watching Rosario play. He had a really nice spring, and hopefully he can carry that right on into the regular season.
  17. One more note: I'm back on the Bjelica bandwagon. 14.5 ppg and 7.5 rpg in his last...two games.
  18. I think the plan is pretty clear that Wiggins is a 3, especially with Zach Lavine showing he can be a starter (I'm just going to forget about Zach's last three games). This could change if the Wolves are really aggressive and go get someone like Batum or Barnes though (or get the 2nd pick and take Brandon Ingram!).
  19. According to this article, http://www.cbssports.com/nba/eye-on-basketball/25539445/report-despite-turmoil-bulls-wont-fire-fred-hoiberg, not very high. It's unlikely Chicago would be willing to pay both Thibodeau and Hoiberg while neither is coaching the team, plus Hoiberg was management's top target last season, so they're kind of tied to him. Thibodeau would be a nice get though.
  20. The DH gets guys ABs when they're getting a break from the field too. There aren't many prospects who DH as their primary position anyway, so I don't think that's a problem at all.
  21. I'm a little surprised no one picked Detroit higher than 3rd. If that lineup stays relatively healthy, and the pitching is about average, they will be tough to beat.
  22. One question about last night's game against the Clippers, did any of you who watched share my pain of seeing Bazz and Tayshaun play together at the 2 and the 3 and continuously catch the ball on the wing while standing two feet inside the 3 point line? I know the game was out of reach by that time, but this is not what modern NBA offenses should look like. I do like the veteran leadership that Prince has provided, but it will be nice to have an upgrade for him on the court next season. I'm not sure if Bazz fits into the plans either. I'd be looking into trades for him this offseason.
  23. For me, I'm a little tired of watching every Wolves team be terrible defensively. One of the problems that they currently have is rebounding, and a 3 who is actually interested in going after rebounds (not only offensive rebounds, Bazz) would be a welcome addition to the team, and especially to their bench.
  24. I'm assuming one of those things to do is commenting on TwinsDaily.
  25. Nice. I've almost always had my RTTS player as a power/speed combo at 2nd base. I think I might also do another one like yours, and make a pitcher with a great fastball and a pure knuckleball or something like that.
