  1. If Sano is playing 3rd until Plouffe comes back, then I would like to see Kepler get a chance starting consistently for a while. Maybe just send down O'Rourke.
  2. Hopefully we don't see another Blue Jays moment with Duffey getting the spot start against a talented Nats lineup.
  3. Well this is a surprise. Hopefully he looks good at 3rd, so there is an extra spot in the OF to get Kepler and Arcia more consistent playing time until Plouffe comes back.
  4. In regards to Berrios' strong start, Roy Smalley just tweeted that he's a firm believer in forcing a promotion by dominating AAA before being called up. He said maybe by June.... Really?
  5. I think you're forgetting the whole part about Garnett being the best player in Wolves history and him being a legend of the game who could be the best possible mentor for all of the team's young talent.
  6. I agree. Stick Polanco in the leadoff spot. Rotate his playing time between 2nd and 3rd base.
  7. Gibson to AAA, Berrios to the Twins please.
  8. I'm about done hoping Gibson will ever be more than mediocre. He is so frustrating...
  9. Apparently this is the same type of drug that the East Germans were using in the '60's. Does that seem a little weird to anyone?
  10. Chris Colabello got suspended 80 games for a positive PED test. This is a huge surprise. Ken Rosenthal and others have posted Colabello's statement on Twitter, with Chris saying he has no idea how this happened.
  11. Well he backed into the spot, so yeah I guess he "won" it. I hope he keeps up the good performance though.
  12. I didn't see it, but it would surprise me if there is anything going on, as Escobar seems like one of the most liked guys on the team. It's probably nothing, but I'm interested in hearing if anyone else saw it and how they interpreted it.
  13. It should be noted that the batting titles and MVP gives Mauer a huge boost over the guys you listed.
  14. Looks like Tom Thibodeau is going to be the Wolves head coach and president. That's some great news, and this team is going to be really good.
  15. It's laughable because Buxton has surpassed Conforto's minor league numbers, and that doesn't even include the huge difference in fielding and base running between the two. Plus, I don't think it's common at all for a well known guy like Cameron to think more highly of a guy who was rated towards the bottom of top 100's before his rookie year over a consensus top 3 guy. Like you said, who knows what will happen with prospects, but I'll take Buxton and it's not close.
  16. I really doubt Dave Cameron thinks Conforto will be better than Buxton, but that is laughable if he does. Buxton has a higher minor league OPS than Conforto even though he was drafted out of college. Plus he doesn't add much in the field and nothing on the basepaths.
  17. He's at a career high in fly ball percentage, 55.6% this year compared to 42.4% for his career. That's not a big surprise to me, as Dozier seems to hit a really large amount of lazy fly balls. Also, a .229 BABIP doesn't help.
  18. This article helps to explain the attractiveness of the Wolves job. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/sources--tom-thibodeau-pursuing-full-team-control-185614502.html I'd be fine with giving Thibodeau full control of the team.
  19. Basically every game so far has been close late. I think their appearances will start to go down once the Twins start blowing teams out... But really, hopefully Chargois will be up eventually to take some of the late game innings when the three main guys have been overworked. Another option could be Michael Tonkin. He helped himself out in a big way today. Hopefully we see that from him consistently.
  20. Eddie Rosario hitting .139, and Max Kepler still doesn't get a shot in CF.
  21. How about that ball that Joe hit to the wall in left today? That pitch was way up, and he was still able to almost drive it out with just a flick of the bat, Chris Davis style. I don't remember seeing much of that the last couple of years.
  22. I guess TR and Molitor weren't kidding when they said Max Kepler wasn't going to get a whole lot of playing time.
  23. I was pretty impressed with the quality of his at bats. That liner to right late in last night's game really fooled me. I thought he hit it out, or at least off the wall.
  24. I feel like I'm watching the Joe Mauer of old. In almost every AB, I'm confident it's going to end in a walk or a line drive hit somewhere to left.
  25. The value for Bazz is kinda hard to predict too. It seemed like there were some teams interested at the deadline. I'm just not sure how much value a guy can possibly have if he's awful defensively and lacks basketball IQ in general.
