  1. I've never really played much Diamond Dynasty either. Road to the Show is definitely my favorite career mode of any sports games that I've played, same goes for the Show's Franchise mode.
  2. I'm planning on getting it sometime this week. Road to the Show and Franchise mode are top notch.
  3. Not sure if this is already clear to everyone or not, but the Twins opener on Foxsportsgo now appears on the schedule, and my account goes through DirecTV.
  4. I like both Valentine and Johnson, but I don't really want two more rookies on the team next year. I think I'd be more interested in trading the pick for a veteran player, or just take Ellenson with their top pick.
  5. Fox Sports Midwest will be streaming Cardinals games starting with the opener. http://www.stltoday.com/entertainment/television/dan-caesar/video-streaming-of-cardinals-games-set-to-go/article_e449d906-fe4f-53ea-8c87-a9442b742f66.html I couldn't find any information on Fox Sports North though. That would really be too bad if other regional networks are streaming their games, but FSNorth isn't.
  6. Yeah, Buxton's .305/.367/.500 (.867) stat line in 72 games at AA and AAA sure does take the luster off of him.
  7. The "getting his priorities straight" comment from Molitor is a little concerning, but Sano seems to have a great personality and an ambition to be great, so I'm not too worried about him overall.
  8. Well this topic is disappointing. Walker hitting .230 with 30 HR potential as an average defensive outfielder is a lot more valuable than him as a DH who does not know how to throw a baseball, despite being a professional baseball player. I would like to assume that there is a bit of exaggeration on the severity of the problem going on here though.
  9. Geovany Soto is who I think you're referencing here.
  10. I've never really seen him throw before so I don't know, but how is it possible for a guy who is 6'5" 225 to have a worse arm than Ben Revere? Or maybe you're just exaggerating a little to make your point.
  11. Maybe the 2nd halves of the last two years, but great the three years before that. I'm confused by the extreme negativity here.
  12. I Disagree with most of that. Marginal command? As for the failed starter...Wade Davis. This is fairly common.
  13. That was a really nice article. His high character just adds an extra level to me rooting for him to be a great player. The comments on espn were (as to be expected) mostly bashing the author to have the gall to compare him to Mike Trout.
  14. Quentin isn't really an outfielder anymore though, so I hope that promotion would go to Max Kepler instead.
  15. Zach Lavine is getting pretty ridiculous. Those two clutch 3's in the first overtime last night were plays that star players make. Overall, a very nice win on the road against a healthy Wizards team that needs to win to make the playoffs.
  16. I kind of disagree with you about the draft part. In his latest mock, Chad Ford has Dragan Bender going #3 and Henry Ellenson going to the Wolves at 5. I'm loving watching Lavine play right now, so I'm not sure how I feel about adding a pure sg in Hield. Another max free agent guy is Al Horford, who is a Dominican national teammate with KAT. Also, besides the weather, Minnesota seems like a decent destination for a free agent who wants to be a part of the next Oklahoma City type of run (I hope).
  17. I've seen two posts predicting Dan Runzler making the team, and I'm not sure why. He had a 5.26 ERA in about 37 innings at AAA (PCL, but still) with almost 7 BB/9 last year. He's also only got 2 Ks in 8 innings this spring.
  18. I think Abad, Centeno, and Runzler would all have to be added to the 40-man, and it's at 39 right now. I would guess they just go with Tonkin for the last bullpen spot. Centeno is probably behind John Hicks on the depth chart too.
  19. I predicted Plouffe hitting 30 HRs with 100 RBIs in the bold predictions thread. Just saying.
  20. I'm guessing Santana would get claimed in that scenario.
  21. From what I've read, and from the interviews on MLB Tonight from yesterday, I find it really hard to believe that Buxton doesn't open the season with the Twins. I am also impatient sometimes when it comes to young guys, and I really want to see Buxton for the full season. I'm even hoping that he has a season that puts him up into the national conversations along with Correa, Bryant, and the other young guys who have seen immediate success.
  22. Oswaldo Arcia's 2 opposite field HRs off of lefties yesterday pretty much solidifies that Quentin is not making the team.
  23. I think Buxton is almost at 100% opening day center fielder, and about 75% that Ricky Nolasco is the #5 starter. Ryan said the other day on MLB Tonight that all five starters have a lot of experience. Molitor didn't give that big of a clue during his interview though.
  24. Not that I dislike Ryan Sweeney or anything, but it's nice to know that there is no chance of him taking up a roster spot in favor of a younger guy.
