  1. Very encouraging article to read on the Twins future. I'm still waiting for Max Kepler to break out. He's been consistently solid, but he hasn't had a sustained stretch where he's been on fire so far in his career.
  2. Duffey is a lock for next year's roster. Even if he struggles in a setup role, he could transition into a long reliever role.
  3. Trevor Hildenberger for MVP. I love watching him pitch, and he should be the guy that comes in whenever there's a tough spot. Hopefully Molitor has finally seen that Taylor Rogers is not a setup guy at this point.
  4. Buxton is now at the top of the Sprint Speed Leaderboard. Zack Granite now qualifies on the list, and he's the 2nd fastest Twin, tied for 15th overall
  5. It's nice to see LaMonte Wade have a strong finish to the season. The Twins have more than their fair share of left handed hitting outfielders in the high minors and in the MLB.
  6. Mitch Garver getting off to a good start at the plate has been lost a little with all of these great performances. He's got a .924 OPS in 7 games.
  7. Nick Gordon followed up a .217 July with a .211 August. Against left handers for the year, he's hitting .176. Not good. I don't really know what to think of him as a prospect.
  8. Akil Baddoo is looking like Lamonte Wade, but with much more upside. Baddoo has a .441 OBP this year, and in his last 10 games, 14 walks and 7 strikeouts. He'll be one to watch for sure.
  9. Buxton's progression has been awesome to watch. The turnaround in July started with a bunch of singles, which was fine, but we've seen him take it to another level with all of the power lately. Buxton is also such an easy guy to root for, and I look forward to what he can do if he gets into a groove earlier on in a season.
  10. I like the bunt for hits and speed aspect, so last night was a fun game. Very clean game overall.
  11. Good to see Lewin Diaz hit a HR. His last HR was way back on July 6th, but at least he's kept a high average, and he's one of the league leaders in doubles.
  12. Great game to watch. Jorge Polanco continued his hot hitting, and with some power. It's great seeing him get back on track, and I expect him to be a guy that you feel like is going to get a hit every time he's in the box.
  13. The Twins are right there with all of the other mediocre teams in the AL. I'll take competing and being frustrated by these awful losses over previous years not caring about the outcome, and just caring if guys with potential played well.
  14. Good to see Nick Gordon get back on track these past few games. He had been struggling some the last month or so.
  15. I have no extra knowledge on Garver in the OF other than my assumption that it's not good. I think putting 3 good defensive outfielders in the game is more important than what Garver would bring to the plate.
  16. They're right in it. Just 0.5 game out of the Wild Card and even 4.5 back of the division is still well within range.
  17. Is that top photo really Tanner English? Just curious because it's a left handed batter, and I don't recognize him.
  18. Sano would probably have a .400 OBP this month if he just stood at the plate. Is it really that hard to lay off a slider? Especially when everyone in the stadium knows it's coming.
  19. I think your second sentence is at least one argument for starting Kepler against lefties. Two more are his fielding and his status as a promising young player who shouldn't be a platoon player yet.
  20. I like that he'll be able to get a feel for the Midwest League this season, and that will put him in better position to dominate there next year.
  21. At least it looks like the Twins will miss Kluber in that series. They've seemed to catch some breaks in missing team's aces this year. And the Dbacks are struggling a bit too lately, so hopefully this is a good time to play them.
  22. Polanco's already got as many hits in August as he had all of July. You have to start somewhere.
  23. I would switch Alex Robinson and Sam Clay. 9 walks in 14 innings should probably eliminate you from the top 5, and Robinson, with 22 Ks in 11 innings, that's pretty impressive. Interestingly, these two guys seem to have very similar profiles as effectively wild lefties. Which one is the better prospect at this time?
  24. What happened to Vielma this year? A combined line of .226/.270/.266 (.536) is not going to get it done. I'd think he is a potential 40 man drop in the offseason, or is the defense really that good that they wouldn't risk that?
