  1. Great game. It looked like another potential clunker down 3-0 in the 2nd, but everything turned around. Ervin did a great job to salvage the start and the offense just kept chugging along. I think Buxton is legitimately breaking out now. Our patience is finally going to be rewarded. Polanco has regained his mojo too, and Rosario continues to hit out of his mind. Good stuff!
  2. Same on the Twins cast, they have him at 96.
  3. It's good to see Santana rebounding after a poor first two innings. Looks like he can get through at least 6 innings so far.
  4. Santana and Berrios are failing us when we need them most... we need some good starts from these guys.
  5. I'm know I'm changing the subject here, but I just saw Kohl Stewart got promoted to AAA. His stats at AA look pretty bad, so has he been pitching better as of late? 5.1 BB/9 is not what you want to see of a guy at AA...
  6. Busenitz's second pitch to Zimmer was a 100% strike to me. MLB.com shows it was an obvious strike as well.
  7. Colon is pretty darn lucky Cleveland has only scored 3 runs so far. This defense is a huge factor in this team's surprising success this season. It's great to see Sano having a solid year defensively.
  8. My plan would be to add a closer in free agency/trade with a potentially large contract and fill in the rest of the pen with what we have. With Pressly, Hildy, Rogers, Duffey, Busenitz, Boshers and the others, I think we'll have a pretty good bullpen.
  9. Perkins is going to be back soon even though he's barely going to throw 90. I'd rather keep all 8 guys we have in the bullpen than have Perkins back. On a similar note, Santiago's going to be back soon and he admitted in an interview over the radio today that he can't even throw 90! He'd probably be better than Enns but yikes, I don't think he need him on this team anymore.
  10. I think Pressly should get the chance to close games, he's been dynamite as of late. I'd love to see Busenitz get save opportunities, but I don't think Molitor is close to letting him try those. He hasn't earned high leverage outings yet, though that's not really his fault as he's barely been used the past few weeks.
  11. He wasn't considered much of a prospect and he was a throw-in in the Garcia trade as Littell was the main acquisition for us. Some on this board have already determined that he simply doesn't have the ability to be a starter (88-89 MPH fastballs topping out at 92 MPH) and might need to try the bullpen. But I wouldn't let this SSS determine Enns' future.
  12. I thought this game was at 7:10, not 6:10. Whoops. At least I tuned in time to see Rosario hit a 3 run homer!
  13. Since injury: Hitting .210 - still good OBP though (around .380)
  14. Agreed, though it's also funny how Mauer has been terrible at the plate for the last week during this stretch.
  15. This Brewers team seems like they're 20 games below .500, not a team that was in 1st place for most the year.
  16. You have to have a pretty terrible offense when you score zero runs vs 10 innings of Gee and Colon.
  17. I'll pass on Park for right now, but I just don't understand how Garver isn't up in the majors right now. I don't think he has anything left to prove at AAA - let's get him some ABs in the majors. You don't have to move team favorite Gimenez off the roster yet, Garver can play several positions and DH.
  18. Thanks for this stat. This is why many of us are infuriated by Molitor's penchant for bunting - we have a lot of players on this club who are terrible bunters but he still insists on bunting constantly.
  19. I don't know how, but they found a way to win both these last two games. I keep expecting them to find a way to lose, but hey, I'll take it! This bullpen has been a strength the last week or so... not sure if it'll continue to be so.
  20. Pressly with a one run lead... I know he's had some good outings, but I just can't trust him to hold this lead. Crossing my fingers...
  21. Gotta love how our two best OBP guys fail to get on base with runners on there. *sigh* At least Polanco is starting to collect to hits.
  22. I like this Suter guy, he doesn't waste time in between pitches and he gets outta there fast. If there's anything I can't stand, it's a slow and laborious pitcher who takes way too long to throw the ball.
  23. Whoa, I think he lost an "a", let's just hope he doesn't lose that first "n". Yup, I'm on board with you there, it would have been really helpful to get another bench player up. We've had 2 complete games in the last 5 days, we don't need an 8 man bullpen.
  24. Wow, three losses in a row to two of the worst teams in baseball... so what was all that about being buyers?
