  1. That would top my pre-season prediction by 20 games, but it's possible. And it's possible without and rotation changes. Bring up both Meyer and May and it becomes more iffy. I'm not so sure about Mauer. The SI article on Morneau sheds a lot of light on the concussion subject. I think Joe still has some lingering effects that may take a lot of time to fade away. But, it's been a season thus far that has been much more enjoyable to watch, and stay on the channel for more than 4 or 5 innings.
  2. Nice article and good to see Terry give moving around a try. He's a tough cookie. I'm with cmat here on his Antony comment, but that's about all he could say.
  3. I'd take the 2 grand and run with it. Easy money is hard to come by.
  4. I was hitting wedges as all this went on. I left in the bottom of the 8th, what a surprise!
  5. Saw some video from Grand and it looks fun! Go!
  6. I'll be watching for an "attaboy"!
  7. Nice to see the Red Wings atop the division, and another good game by Mays. And, there's some very nice ERA's starting today's games for the organization.
  8. Cuddy did miss time and might have been dl'd.
  9. Dick has, or is, kind of reigned in his enthusiasm on these long fly balls. I don't think he thought either of those was going out. Sure is nice to get some long balls, especially against these guys.
  10. Dozier having a rough go of it lately. He missed that by 1 foot and a half. And Mauer hit's it long for an out. Our rabbits foot has left the team.
  11. I'll go with a. We may be seeing the new Mauer.
  12. I'm not a Plouffe fan, probably never will be.
  13. Hicks will see a ton of sliders from now til he learns to lay off. It could get worse before we see some improvement. Hopefully he's a quick learner with this, which he hasn't shown yet.
  14. I agree with Mauer, Willingham and Plouffe needing to step up. Dozier is still fairly young in my mind and is improving. Let's lay off Arcia with any talk of stepping up and just let him play, take what we get.
  15. How does Plouffe not have 2 errors? For sure one, he's a lucky guy.
  16. It's great to see a quote like this. There was an obvious absence of any chemistry in spring training that was felt not only by me, but most all of the regulars to camp. The many new faces and all the roster decisions probably had a lot to do with that. I have to think that the chemistry has resulted in several wins already this season and the playing of .500 ball to this point, which is a shock to most of us. We've won like 9 one run games already this year. I don't remember much of that last season. This has been fun so far.
  17. Ah relax everyone. Herrmann gets a gwrbi while up and it was worth it.
  18. Berrios looked bigger this spring than last to me. Looks like he's still growing. Good to see some success from him this year.
  19. I won't argue that. In fact I won't argue anything. I'm going to live a long life! Trouble with that is, I've been around a long time already.
  20. I highly doubt either one will become an acceptable long-term 3b.
  21. Santana will hit. He just might stick around, and some I know think this should of been done earlier. Keep him at short and play Escobar at 3rd once in awhile. He hits, or is, better than Plouffe.
  22. Brad Steil this morning on the radio mentioned Buxton hurt his wrist on a feet first slide into home.
  23. OK. Good to see Joe back, as I've got a trick back and you just never know how long it will take to be able to put on my shoes. I don't expect a pitchers duel today but strange things have happened this season. And finally, the weather here is the best day of the year and the golf course calls so I may miss this one.
