  1. Homered for the Wings the other day. He's not done yet, Sconnie.
  2. Oh man, how bad can it get?
  3. Good article, Nick. Yesterday I had a consultation with a surgeon who will remove my gall bladder. Darn, it will cut my duck hunting season short. He said he'd given up on the Twins 2 weeks ago. But mentioned trading Willingham to KC. KC was a surprise to me, and I mentioned how TR usually treated his players well, sending them to contending teams. This year Fuld, Willingham and Correia to first place teams, and how so many leave here to get a ring. He popped up with Punto and laughed and agreed a lot do. I wonder which former Twin will get the ring this year.
  4. Buxton hasn't got 'it' figured out yet. I leave Walker right where he's at for this year. Jake tossed two nights in a row? Why? The Miracle must be close, or are playing now at Jet Blue.
  5. May's start wasn't to unexpected. And now it's behind him. Next time out should be much better if he can work on his release point on the slower stuff and just relax some. It'll take some time, just as it did with Gibson and so many others, and will with Meyer also. He should finish his season up here, and probably has another 5 or 6 starts in him. He's part of the future.
  6. Got out of it with only 1, and the good thing is May is missing low.
  7. Gibson is better relaxed, and nothing relaxes like runs. He falls behind and things snowball. Let's get him one of those splits between innings. Looks mouthwatering!
  8. Plouffe just put me to sleep, again...........
  9. Dick got it wrong, but Roy right, and that quick we lose the lead.
  10. I still watch most of the time. I play in 2 golf leagues a week that start at 5, so miss parts of games. I've enjoyed watching the young guys like Polanco, Santana and Vargas get their chances. I'm pretty pissed off at Mauer this year and wonder just how long he will continue to play, but hope to see him shortly also.
  11. I've a couple friends that both work at Hammond stadium and have for years. One works the fields and the other roams them watching when not working in the stadium. Both have told me for two years that Santana should be up. So, I've watched him more closely than most players. He is enjoyable to watch, he's fast, with quick hands and makes some really great plays. But I haven't seen him nearly as much as my friends. Defensively he has played with the Twins as could be expected, but I'm really surprised with his approach at the plate, and his results. To me, he just looks confident and seems to have a plan every at bat. He doesn't look overwhelmed to be at the highest level and is taking it in stride. I'm really surprised and happy for him and hope he continues to have success. He could be a sparkplug for us for years to come.
  12. Well, not a lot to look forward to tomorrow, but at least we start even.
  13. It's really nice to see Gibson throw games like this. Now to bring it home. Isn't Steinie undefeated?
  14. LOL, yup, get rid of him. What's he done to me, absolutely nothing. Shown me absolutely nothing in his time here. I'd rather have Luke Hughes playing there, and if given the rope Plouffe has been given, we'd most likely have a better 3rd baseman. I've said it before, like last year, and will continue to stick with it, Plouffe doesn't help us and we'll never amount to anything with him on the team. And I'll say this again, MARK MY WORDS! I mentioned him in the first place because posters were saying what they'd do in the short term. I'd move him, Willingham and Correia to start things off. Those 3 have no future here.
  15. No hate, why do people throw that word around so loosely? Plouffe isn't and never will be good enough other than a lucky month to be a major leaguer. And I've still got 2 warning points!
  16. If that's Jamey Carroll pitching for the hose, we may have a chance. One game out of 4 is better than zip. Can't help but wonder how long fans will enter the turnstiles. TR is worried about that too.
  17. A week from now I'll be watching a different team. Will it be the Twins or the Brewers remains to be seen, but it won't be these Twins. Willingham, Correia, Plouffe, for starters and maybe 3 others should all be on other teams. One week, that's it. And if Plouffe doesn't go, then we might as well keep the rest too, because this team will never be anything but last place fodder til Plouffe is gone. Mark my words.
  18. Maybe I'll chance making a reply and see what gives.
  19. Can plouffe get any worse?
  20. Somehow Plouffe has had a monster first half, he's still in the majors. I just don't get it! But with this team's FO, he'll probably retire as a Twinkee.
  21. Looked like Seth taking photo's with a Puckett jersey on, while Marney was showing some of the minor league displays on Twins Live now.
