Pelf figured as long as he had a chance to tie Bert's record, he might as well.

A good day for a ball game, a good day for golf. I'll make the easy choice. Good luck, threadies!

It's no wonder this is the first place I visit in the morning with my coffee and doughnut.

You picked a good game to be there. Thanks for the info!

Well we got a lead, got Nolasco out of there, and now should cruise the rest of the way home.

Early this spring I mentioned to a buddy in Ft Myers I was glad to see Santana have the year he did last year. He replied don't you remember 2 years ago saying he'd never make the bigs (right after an error) because of his defense. Yup, I remember, and it doesn't look like he's improved. Just a shame, I hope he can improve a little anyway. I like his short swing and what he can do on the bases.

Ahhhh shucks, look who the whities have shuckin' corn in center tonight.

Nice game so far, fun to watch.

I just watched Pelfrey on gameday, but in a 5 pitch sequence he went with 5 different pitches. Something like this: 4 seam, slider, change, 2 seam, curve. He's been mixing it up more than the others I think.

I'd love to see Pelfrey continue his success throughout the season. That's good for the Twins and a good payday coming for him. He won't be with us next year, so don't even bother thinking extension.

I swung my tail off on the golf course today. Looks like I missed some good, and alot of bad.

I can't even get it on the radio, for some reason, from the local station. I might have to sit in my car.

This is a big game for Hughes and the Twins. A win sure would be nice. A big day by Vargas would be icing on the cake. No tv today.

Don't forget to report back on May 28th!

I'd hand Rick the Mike. You're going to the pen.

Fun game tonight, another great start for Pelf. Hope he keeps is up and Nolasco to the pen. No tv for tommorrow's game, so I get Danny G.

"So, on that note, stay classy, everyone" That's very, very, hard to do for me with a IMO senseless thread on a Poof extension, which I should just ignore. But, what I'd have liked to see tonight is Nunez at 3rd, rather than dh'ing, and having Vargas dh. Vargas sitting a couple of days after his last ****ty showing just has to burning on him. I'd get him in tonight and see what happens while he's still got a strong sting going. And of course I'm pulling for Pelfrey again tonight, no matter how slow the game goes.
  20. Halsey Hall
No, it's not. He'll get worse.
  21. Halsey Hall
What? Watch him. That's all the facts you need. Just watch him.
  22. Halsey Hall
Poof is afraid of the ball. He plays everything he can off to one side or the other. And he's very slow afoot. That is obvious to anyone who watches the games. And his arm is very erratic. Last night half his throws to first were right on and the other half Mauer had to stretch for up the line or out in front. His bat is either hot or cold, mostly cold. An extension to Poof would be the worst move the Twin have made since trading Larry Hisle.
  23. Halsey Hall
Bottom of the 8th it was Poof who should have been ph for.
  24. Halsey Hall
Escobar was 2 for 3 against that guy.
