No poachers in the form of Torii today. Someone else will bag one though.

There's been some excellent pitching in the minors this year, and yesterday continued that. I'd have to give Malone a slight edge here though.

I wonder how much a life sized Dozier bobblehead would go for.
  4. Halsey Hall
Me too. Oxi will do that. Don't seem to be healing either.

Is 6 enough? Let's get some more just for the fun of it.

Nolasco pitching on another cool night. We'd better finally put on our hitting shoes in Detroit.

    Kepler!

Mollie made a great call for the hit and run with Suzuki at the plate as he goes to right field a lot, and moving poof to 3rd was critical. So he hit's a double and poof gets all the way to 3rd. Chalk this loss up to poof.

Very poor base running by poof cost us a run there. And we are going to need runs.

Let's see Gibson's streak of 17 scoreless grow tonight.

Halsey is back after spending a few days at the VA and getting sliced and diced for a double hernia. Hurt like hell but good to be home. So as far as poof goes, it's good to see him flashing leather one day and hitting the next recently. I doubt he'll keep it up, but I like to see wins, so hope he does. No extension or any thoughts along those lines though.

I was so pulling for Herrmann to make the squad out of spring training. He had his taste of the bigs and just wanted to be back, so he did everything possible to give himself a chance. He earned it. And IMO he's a better hitter than the stats suggest. I paid Robinson very little attention in spring training, but one day someone from Cinci, I think that's where he came from, said we were going to love him. That he was their best outfielder last year. Well he's certainly shown he knows how to play the game and has some skills. If he were 6' 2" instead of 5' 9", he probably be drawing more attention. I agree, both these guys are underappreciated and contributors to the team.

Somehow the Red Wings are 16-12 despite having Alex Meyer. He needs to get out of Rochester, and go back down to Ft Myers and figure out what pitching is. He could well be a short timer in this organization.

That's good news. Good guy and hard worker. I hope he sticks.

Nice job Bubbles! 111 years, wow, so how long will this game remain perfect for May?

It's after Buxton and Sano join the team.

That's the way I see it, and see no wrong with it either. Give Roserio a taste. It's only 2 weeks. I don't think they have any intentions of sending down Hicks again. When he comes up he either plays or is traded. The Twins will get a better feel for what they have in Roserio for later in the year when some changes are surely to be made. This is a test run.

I thought for sure Perkins would go back to a fastball that last pitch. Slider fooled me and the hittter, ball game.
  19. Halsey Hall
Wow. Quite a day for Shaeffer.
  20. Halsey Hall
    Where did the years go?
  21. Halsey Hall
Did Torii ever kiss that fastball. So much for losing bat speed!
  22. Halsey Hall
I do say, our second baseman is much better than theirs.
  23. Halsey Hall
Neil Allen shouldn't have to go out and get Hughes off the fastball. Suzuki should have done that alot earlier.

It's more than lineup decisions. It's situational awareness that Molitor brings from experience and has made the team aware of. Vargas tagging on a fly ball and getting to 3rd, then scoring the only run of the game is one instance. That would not have happened with Gardy.

When I read the title my first thought was it would be Shibuya, but I don't keep up as closely as some do.
