I really don't know how good we are, no clue. But we keep beating teams that aren't very good and that's a big positive. Not winning by much, but winning none the less. This is another series where we should pad the win column as the Brewers are, well, just the Brewers. Every win we can put in the book will help out later in the season. Kyle vs Kyle. Bet on Kyle.
It doesn't look to me that either Arcia or Pinto are doing anything to get called up. I would like Vargas back and in the dh spot. I suspect he'll be the first of the three, but who knows when.
51 degrees might be a little cold for Pelfrey. His slider doesn't seem to break until he gets warmed up and loose. I hope he warms up a lot in the bullpen before the game. I'm looking for him to add another win on his and our record. And happy to see Roserio in the game again.
I stick with Santana for this season at least. Escobar had a good year last year but not close to that this year. Santana has a heck of an arm, a good glove and is playing the position for the first time in a while. He'll be fine.
The strings of zero's the Twins have been putting on the board lately is a big concern of mine, and I've mentioned it before. Seems they come out with a good game plan but fail to adjust as the game goes on. Kind of reminds me of Denny Green, who couldn't make half-time adjustments til the game was finished. Somehow they've managed to win 4 or 5 games they probably shouldn't have. And we all knew Perkins wasn't going to be perfect all year. It has to also put some pressure on the starters, thinking this is what I've got to work with, and I've got to be really fine the rest of the way to hold it. We've got to start getting bunches of hits to score some runs after the 3rd inning, or it will still be another long year, just not as long as the last few.
Naaa, I'm still awake. TV is in the other room. But I will admit Trevor hasn't felt this good since he lost his ch........... The last 7 games he's been a different guy out there.
If he keeps playing like or near this, he'll be back in some role. This team is having fun and I give Torii much credit for that. Having fun leads to winning, and it's no fun to lose.
