  1. Dozier's run for the all time Twins strikeout record continues on tonight. Look out Danny Darwin, here he comes!
  2. I can't help but wonder how the PED's helped Santana and without them he's not much. Gibson and Pelfrey both are night and day, so who will show up?
  3. It's very clear the Twins aren't in the class of the Blue Jays and other top teams. What isn't clear is if they are on an even scale with the so called poorer teams. We haven't really beat up on those teams, like the Brewers, A's, Mariners etc. So now with the Indians we'll find out. Without a series win here the season might just as well end. Here's to hoping we can take the cellar dwellers.
  4. Has anyone noticed Mauer doesn't line up for the National Anthem? He didn't in spring training either and a guy I know mentioned it to Molitor and told him he didn't like it. Next couple of games Mauer was out there, but then quit. He doesn't line up now either.
  5. I think they are fazing out Bert. If he wants a day off they say fine, but take a week. He wanted 3 days off for the HOF and they said fine, take 3 weeks. It's ok by me.
  6. LOL, Poof hustled out of the box that time! Prolly got an ass chewing, or knows he has one coming. Nice inning though. Win lose or draw that has to help the mind set.
  7. About the only thing not expected here is that we scored 3 runs.
  8. You and I are seeing different Poofs.
  9. No way he'll be awesome, but no way is Plouffe either. It may take a while for Sano to get the official scorer on his side like Poof has, but get what you can for him and play Sano.
  10. It's a good indicator if you look at ERA's vs the Twins lately.
  11. This is about pitchers. We need some hitting, the pitching hasn't been that bad. We need to score some runs. It's looking like a sweep and back to .500 with the .400's next.
  12. I'd be looking to trade Plouffe right now as he'd bring back a decent return. Play Sano at 3rd the rest of the way to see what we have there. Find out if he's a lifetime dh or not. Eduardo's can spell him at 3rd. Arcia in at dh to also see how he does. We won't be winning any wild card this year, but could possibly end up only a few games under .500, so let's see just what we have to plan for next season.
  13. Twins hitters make you think they're facing David Price. For the last week.
  14. I don't understand why May isn't used for multiple innings late in tie games. Yesterday is one example of a couple where he could of come in for the 9th and longer if the game went on. There's no reason he can't pitch 3 or 4 innings of shutdown ball. I think that's his greatest asset. One inning at a time doesn't utilize that.
  15. I'd be very happy with a split this series. If Perkins and crew out there keep up the usual, we will drop like a rock.
  16. I called that wild pitch five seconds earlier, and then called the gift steal. It worked out perfect.
  17. Not a good start, but one hit and we can tie this baby up.
  18. If all our hits tonight are home runs I predict a chicken dinner.
  19. You'd think we could find a decent shortstop in Asia somewhere. We still have scouts there, right?
  20. I wouldn't trade May or Hicks. The organization has a ton of money invested in Hicks and it looks as though he's finally figured it out. He looks like a different player completely. And I can't see going after a big name, as we soon will be dipping below the .500 mark on the season. Leave the off season for that, after things shake out.
