  1. We hired a guy nobody else wanted, who lost frequently and got fired in Pittsburgh. I’d give it a solid D- but really, with the squad he’s going to have to work with in MN, who else would really want this job? We’ve become the Oakland A’s , only the A”s are way better than we are now.
  2. If all those players are on our 40 man roster there won’t be any problem making space for some more reclamation projects this winter.
  3. They’ve been running out a AAA roster for years, mixed in with some major league talent.
  4. I’d stop short of calling the start of Wallner’s career “torrid.” I’d also stop short of saying he had established himself as in of the very best hitters in baseball. he’s had some good streaks and he’s had some awful streaks. He’s a work in progress and the remainder of this season might show us what to expect from Wallner in the future, and if he be counted on to be a regular contributor in the lineup going forward.
  5. I remember the commercial where Wynegar said he liked baseball so much he’d play for free, and they then flashed to Calvin who said “I like that kid!”
  6. Don’t trade Joe Ryan. but not they do, the haul needs to be a lot better than what was suggested in the article in the Athletuc. Joe Ryan is a stud.
  7. Do we really not have anyone in the minors who can put up the stats we are expecting from Ty France? A mediocre fielder who hasn’t hit well in 3 years. I can feel the excitement building for the regular season.
  8. If I’m Roki Sasaki I look T the Twins and I see they have acquired Mickey Gasper as their main off season acquisition. why wouldn’t he have us at the top of his list?
  9. Hard, hard pass on Polanco. needs surgery late in every season and can no longer hit. it was fun while it lasted but I think it’s over for Jorge.
  10. One other possibility is that he had a personal grudge against the pitcher. who knows?
  11. Man, seeing Prielipp get healthy and deal like he has this year is awesome. look forward to seeing him progress the next couple of years. This kid has high, high upside!
  12. I was at the saints game last night. Got to see Trevor Richards walk a guy, throw a wild pitch and give up a two run bomb. kind of hard to believe the guy stayed with the big club as long as he did.
  13. Farmer should never take another at bat with the Twins. Not one.
  14. It’s nice he found some AAA success but it’s time for the major league Dobnak experiment to be over. Send him to AAA and find someone who might have some interest in him this winter.
  15. He can take Dobnaks spot today. Like right away.
  16. Your article states Adding to the optimism, in Triple-A this season, Sabato has trimmed his strikeout rate to 26.9% he is till in double A, not triple A. I would be more sold if he were putting up these stats in triple A.
  17. Centerino as well. Been in the system like 5 years now- does he have 100 innings pitched yet?
  18. I wouldn’t trade anyone in tier 1 or 2 (or maybe even 3) this year. We have way too many holes to make a run. Anyone we bring in would just more us from average to pretty good. I’d rather sell (Santana, Margot, etc) and bring up some kids to see what they do.
  19. You completely lost me at the end when you referred to “improving right-handed veteran relievers like Jay Jackson” We must be thinking about two different Jay Jackson’s. The one I’m thinking about should be DFA’d
  20. I hope Wallner figures it out as much as the next guy but he whiffed 4 times in Tuesday and 3 times on Wednesday so I think there’s still some work to be done.
