  1. Hamilton will get a chance to get a hit.
  2. This AAA quality team beat the Dodgers with a shut-out, plus they beat Houston twice, including a shut-out. This series is not over yet.
  3. Not to take away from Ryan, but this umpire has a very wide strike zone.
  4. Miranda as DH, helps take away the sting of losing Cruz.
  5. Celestine makes what should be a routine play look like he is a rookie, oh wait , he is.
  6. One of the very few, that still do that.
  7. If you are correct about Arraez and batting title, says hope for next year.
  8. Looks like you either swing at balls or you are out. I give Gordon the break also.
  9. Yeah, we do not want people hitting the ball and making an out, better to do like Gordon, three pitches , you're out.
  10. Is it legal to temp. demote to lower leves some players from higher level clubs for the play-offs? The fans in those stands deserve just as much as the AAA and Major league teams.
  11. Why is Miranda at first and Arraez the Designated Hitter? Arraez is not a great fielder but he is better than Miranda, switch the two. In Center, B. Hamilton may be in sub one hundred batting slump, but he approaches , or equals, Buxton fielding ability; with the dead bats Baldelli has put in during important games, why not let him sink or swim for one game.
  12. 2019 was what it was partly because they brought in non-pitching veterans, they are gone and the farm system boys are Keystone -cops for results. Can't run, can't field.
  13. That must have been really , really important as the Twins record shows.
  14. The fans in the stands deserve better than that.
  15. With the exception of Buxton, who said not playing every day screwed him up, all - If play blah, blah, blah - is a simple rationalizing excuse/s for the Twins failure/s. Larnach and Jeffers loss was did NOT have a big effect, Jeffers was/is a run-at-will catcher . Jeffers played approx. one half the number of games Sanchez played, if you doubled Jeffers numbers rbi, hr, etc. they are similar to Sanchez, big difference is Sanchez is far better defensive player. Larnach - If you go to Baseball Ref. where he, Kirilloff , Garlic and Cave stats. are directly in a cluster -- per number of at bats in reality very little difference (Cave has so few at bats, a hitting streak or slump changes his numbers drastically) so who played, with the exception of Caves fielding ability, makes little difference. Celestino and Gordon, hmm, well Gordon fluctuated between the worst and best of the movie character Willie Mays Hays all season; Celestino reflects the Twins , a steady slow decline. In my opinion Baldelli is just a continuing of the not ready for prime time managers the Twins have had since Tom Kelly left, and until that is changed , it will be more and more disappointment . Maybe is the curse of the Gardy.
  16. Just heard a bit of a sports show on WCCO radio; in the part I heard they said injuries were piling up but that was zero excuse for getting swept by Cleveland, or their poor play of late. Sadly I could not stay for any more.
  17. OK , excpet earlier in the year, they shut down after five innings regardless of who was the pitcher
  18. Well Palacios was brought with good Minor League batting and lousy fielding; now it is lousy batting and fielding in the majors. Crap shoots for the Twins do not work well.
  19. Kepler has 13 errors in right field in 8 major league seasons. Wallner has 22 errors in right field in 3 minor league seasons.
  20. I would agree with you except back when they hit home runs, the same complaint was aired often so they quit hitting home runs....
  21. In seasons in which he pitched in more than one game, only one year was his ERA below SIX, why is he here?
  22. Some thing is totally out of whack, behind by six or seven runs they can hit and score runs, though not enough to win; down by one run when they bat, hitting is some thing the other guy does only the other guy does not.
  23. Not signing a coach in the Sam Melee-Billy Martin-Tom Kelly style is a major problem
  24. Better question, how many of those will still be in the Twins organizaton?
