    They might have done better with a talented SS, Polanco's 22 errors has to be near a Twins record ; Schoop was very good at 2nd base for some bone-headed reason they pulled him for Arraez in 2019.

    Wallner's "massive" 2022 is a LOT more than slightly exaggerated. He showed some potential but he belongs in AAA where whether or not he is all show, no go will be exposed. As I wrote in another thread, IF, IF he makes the effort Judge did to improve, he has a very, very bright future; if not he could be another Rooker/Badoo type. I watched Cave in some of the clips from his time in the Saints; he always had a good attitude and showed he loved the game; time will tell if with Baltimore he can return to the level of play he had his first year with the Twins. I personally think there is something in the Twins management that has/can harm players abilities.

    Arraez had 7 more RBI this year, 49, with 120 more at bats. He was no better than average, at best. HIs batting title earned him a place on the team , to me, but that is all.

    Larnach had two neither here nor there partial seasons, he is a lock for nothing. All this pipe dream dreaming for rookies who have not shown they are long term Major League players; I still remember all the blah, blah , blah about Badoo last year, good grief.

    Arraez and Correa got on base, they were , at best, average with runners on base.

    None of the "younger more talented players" have shown that they are. Some can hit but field balls poorly , some can field, none as well as Cave, but have trouble staying above the Mendoza line, none can hit and field, Caves numbers his first year up looked good, then came ... after next season, we will see how "talented " the rookies are.     I looked at Judge's first year at Baseball Ref; his first year is in many ways similar to Wallner this year, IF, a big IF, the Twins can get Wallner to do the work to improve his play, the way Judge did, then they MAY have theri version of Judge. Next year will determine if Wallner is a Bonanza or Bust.

    I see little difference between Rooker and Wallner; Wallner has a strong arm, but his fielding is a cross between Keystone Cop and a bull in a China shop. After spring training, how much AAA he still needs will be known.

    Throwing the bones hoping against hope there are first class rookies will mean losing season after losing season and that cannot be afforded by the Pohlads as people already are not coming in droves and will not return to watch a gaggle of AAA wannabes show they should still be in AAA. 2019 they brought in good veterans and WON, they are all gone now and as well as Miranda did this year there the Majors is not where rookies are taught how to field; he would be a good DH but they need a 1st baseman who can field as well as he hits. The Twins best winning years were a team, players coming back, year after year, that brings in fans to see a "Team" not a here today gone tomorrow group of unknowns; losing Arraez, would mean some nobody newbie would take his place and that tells fans to stay home.

    Next spring training will expose the first season flukes from the, at minimum, average talent. Been awhile since the twins have had a crop of better then average rookies, only time will tell.

    Arraez is a good Second Baseman, he is as good there as Gordon is not good; move him and there is a big hole in the infield when Polanco does not play.

    IF, again IF he makes the concerted effort to improve his play the way Judge has, he could be a vey big name in the future.

    He said he wants the Front Office to come talk to him, nothing more.

    Gio has been proven to be a very good Third Baseman if they do not sign him they gain another hole their fielding which id Correa leaves means the Twins will return to the lousy fielding days of a few years ago. Miranda is not a good fielder but he seems to be adapting to First Base so play him there and DH. All the upcoming/returning rookies, are the usually Wishful Thinking so many here think overrules reality. Contreras and Palacios came up and showed what reality looks like compared to Wishful Thinking.

    That is creating an excuse for ineptitude via rationalization. There is no ecuse for his poor play, period.

    Won't happen; Wallner maybe in two or three years, Celestino is not improving and is not that good except as a back-up, Larnach has not proven he is major league level yet. Twins rookie defense is still a gamble at best and big hole at worst.

    He made two putz moves while fielding balls that cost runs.

    The return of of Go Go Gomez; I think it might be best either send him to AAA , next year or trade him; he has been around long enough there is no excuse for his bone-head errors, which are too common.

    Gordon's move was the final nail in the coffin but Wallner made two bone headed fielding moves that hurt just as much. Wallner has to go to AAA next year to learn how to field; if he can do that, he has a bright future but not before.
