    I am not going to look it up again but there is a press release about the brand of baseball used in the Olympics; Ryan loved them and said U.S. pro-ball should use it.

    LOL -- of course they will fill it, but with WHAT?

    Berrios was/is not really all that good; his blow-outs are not as bad as some the Twins had but they happen/ed. The Twins need , at least one pitcher, better than Berrios, that the pitching staff cannot ruin. (I believe the pitching coach is a goodly part of the pitching snafu.)

    They are afraid the Twins might actually win which would screw with their players heads.

    Watching rookies get their butts handed to them would have been worse, for the team and their psychology. At that, the Orioles lose 18 in a row then blow out the Angels two games in a row; how come the Twins are always the one who get blown out? I think the line-up Baldelli put against the Sox speaks for itself.

    Gant gave up four runs, the BP gave up 8; do not blame Gant and the other hot-shot bats were cold including Arraez with bases loaded.

    Well two players who were team mates once were pitching on the same day and one wanted to out do the other; Robles won, two homers to one.?

    IF they win that one, it would be a very good sign for rest of the year.

    He was involved with an item that has been taking place as long as signs existed; he just was the one the powers that be decided to use as an example. I am not perfect and I do not look down on others who also are not perfect, at that under any circumstances he would still be better than Baldelli.

    There is something really amiss concerning the Minn. Twins; Baltimore has lost 18 straight but their last win was over the Yankee; I check MSN sporting news because it is easy, the Twins are rarely mentioned, teams with worse records are mentioned more often and not just because they are in last place. I personally think the inability of the Twins to beat the Yankees has sport writers , any where looking at them as not being worth mention. Twins should trade Baldelli for A.J. Hinch, he has take a team that was a laughting stock 5 months ago into a team that may catch the Indians for second place.

    It is not meaningless baseball, it exposes that the Twins have no idea how to hire a competent manager.

    Taking rookie pitchers and sending them to NY to get their butts handed to them would not be good baseballs, it is asininely stupid baseball.

    A LOT of people on this site are having conniptions about Simmons batting average, while ignoring his superior fielding skills so preach your number games some where else.

    Is there another way of determining how often one HAS ACTUALLY hit the ball fair, not fantasy league let's pretend?

    I do not dislike him but he is slow with a weak arm, some thing the Twins cannot afford with their some times ineptitude in the field. Garlick or Refsnyder are much better, therefore; Larnach should spend a year of time in AAA to see if what you see is all that you will ever get. A veteran OF with a accurate strong arm would be best but Garlick or Refsnyder look good; I do not see Rooker as any better than Larnach, at this point.

    If those numbers you are infatuated with determined who would be in the Hall of Fame, it would be a LOT smaller now than it is.
