  1. Then the Twins absolutely need an quality fielding Second Baseman to take Julien's place at the end of close game to replace Juliens iron glove.
  2. It depends on if the pitchers figure his game out and adjust.
  3. Right, why not then ,just dump the whole current Twins team and replace them with the current Saints, Good Grief.
  4. Twins fielding coach may get hooked on falling down and catching the ball; so for pop flies the fielder will catch it and then fall over.
  5. M. Cabrera, is still hitting doubles but I am surprised at his lack of home runs.
  6. IF some one can do this, that or the other thing, i.e. crap-shoot wishful thinking. IF they are still in AAA or AA or A, they have not shown they can do this, that or the other thing, and thinking they will be the next breat thing is hope against hope, not reality. Twins minor league gents have been more of a lot of disappointments, rather that the future sucesses. A few other teams have had gents in their early twenties hit the bigs running at full speed; too many here say bring up the youngsters thinking one of the Twins gents will be just that, has not happened, though there were a few false starts..
  7. By person not on the team, I mean players not any where in the Twins system.
  8. IF, IF, IF.... Thinking beyond this year, next years Spring Trianing will show, by who is there, where the Twins FO and coaches thoughts are at that point. Including persons not on the team now.
  9. Except for Kepler, who is not a newbie? Correa, Farmer, Kepler, Solano and Taylor are the only ones one could call veterans, so the youts have not taken over the team , except, the FO has team full of boys 30 years old and younger. That is five who play all at once, often, and five of eight fielders is the majority.
  10. All crap-shoot wishful thinking. Except for Castro, who I hope they keep, a AAA team, not an improvement, so no reason to do it. Polanco is not a great Second Baseman but far better than Julien, please keep Julien as far from the infield as possible; Lewis ?. Free agents, maybe, better fielding than Kepler, not at a price the Twins can afford? Correa is not hitting better, for a HUGE salary, than Simmons, and Simmons was actually a better fielder. Gallo, a fairly good fielder but he is now batting at the level Gordon was before he was hurt. What free agents ?
  11. Some thing is very wrong with Gallo; strike outs with a a fair number of foul balls, means he is hitting the ball but his are simple whiffs on pitches that are in the middle of the strike zone. Hopefully Baldelli has taken him aside to see why .
  12. This all crap-shoot wishful thnking, nothing more. Julien is a disaster waiting to happen at Second Base he will NOT be there next year, whidh is why he is pulled in a tight game when fielding screw-ups are not allowed. The rest you mention are wishful thinking , who can be as bad in the infield as Miranda/Julien is/are. Wallner, Larnach are shadow of the fielding skills Kepler has, again , the rest are wishful thinking and Twins management , thak God, does not let the Twins become another AAA team playing on wishful thinking, unless injury forces it In two of the games against Columbus the Saints managed a total of 3 hits per game; one can only guess what major league hitting will do, and those getting skunked were the best on the team.
  13. Bah to Ramone, this is what they need as so many here want to see kids brought up: This 12 Year Old Kid Hit The Farthest Home Run In Baseball History Yesterday https://thespun.com/more/top-stories/fans-are-in-awe-of-12-year-old-baseball-players-massive-home-run Henry, who is listed at 5-foot-10, 215 pounds according to his Perfect Game profile, cleared the batter's eye in center field, hitting the ball well past the fence stationed 275 feet from home plate. We don't have an exact measurement on the homer, but it had to be pushing 400 feet. Henry's titanic blast has had the baseball world buzzing since last night. "12 year old Leyland Henry Jr has some crazy power," said the Barstool Baseball Twitter account. "Y’all see what Leyland Henry Jr is doing? HE'S 12," one fan said. "Leyland Henry Jr. will break the MLB career HR record in 2049," added another fan. "Leyland Henry. Remember the name," chimed in the Baseball Lifestyle Twitter account. A fifth commenter added that Henry has "taken the world by storm." That will happen when you hit the ball MLB-level distances as a pre-teen. Hopefully Henry has a bright future ahead of him on the diamond.
  14. What ever floats your boat, have a nice day.
  15. Add to that, his throws to first have the First Baseman guessing whether he will try to dig it out of the dirt, jump in the air to catch it, or have reach to the left or right to the extreme or leave he bag to catch it.Fi His fielding is a Chinese Fire Drill.
  16. Wallner has much better defense numbers in right field but I think it would be a good idea to play him in left enough times to see if he can do as well there as in right.
  17. Management is affected by ticket sales, not fan attitudes, UNLESS, that is stated in ticket sales.
  18. Maybe some one in the bullpen can play second base.
