    Ozzie Smith's total of 28 home runsn in 18 years probably voids that statement, especially as he did not hit over .250 till his 7th year at which point he had a total of 6 home runs. He was an infielder but at this site , regardless of position, most see the bat as the ONLY thing that counts.

    But, but its all about hitting, defense skill does not matter.

    Right now, Gallo is not losing the game, no matter how lousy his bat is.

    Gallo has some problems in his head, either psychological or his vision is skewed.

    I hope Jeffers gets some one on one instruction from a top line catcher so his defense is as good as his bat; I do not think he has to worry about being traded.

    Renfroe is a just plain BAD fielder; Wallner would probably be better out there than Renfroe and Wallner is below average.

    LOL, with Wallner and Julien fielding a play, I get visions of the Blankenhorn bobbled ground ball and throw to Arraez and Arraez throwing it into right field scenario.🥸
