  1. If Julien goes to AAA, then Farmer will take Second Base . He is a better Second Baseman than Castro and Castro is generally needed else where. I would like to see Keirsey Jr. come up to see how he handles the Bigs, send Kirilloff down for a re-set, and bring him back after having a look-see at Keirsey Jr.
  2. Twins need a First Baseman with a good glove so Santana is going nowhere. I am hoping Farmer breaks out of his misfortune, but Margot's surgery pretty much finished off his career. Twins have zero known quantity back-ups , so the platoon fest will continue. At that, Larnach, weak arm and all , may be around a long time but I am amazed at the long leash they have given Julien.
  3. Jeffers is not a good catcher, probably not run at will any more , but still not good.
  4. How little? Forgive me - LOL - my neighbor in my home town was breaking ground for a new garden with one of those little roto-tiller designed really for cultivating and not much more and spent as much time scratching at the ground as it took me to do one half of a garden eight times larger than her patch. Now I considered offering to do it for her, but last winter, for he first time ever, turned my 70 year old garden was hard, very hard, even where I had dug potatoes in he fall. It took me twice the time to till it from the norm, all most three hours, SO, I just figured the wear and tear on my machine, plus gasoline, was not worth being a good neighbor -- maybe next year. I took the trip down to Hugo, and was amazed at the huge number of Chile and Tomato plans they had for sale. For what is left of blood family and friends, I could supply a summer worth of Chiles and Tomatos with four of each but as they had a huge variety I bought a dozen of each -- (any one want some tomatoes or chiles this summer/ fall?) They look good , at this point, very good . Oddly corn I planted three weeks ago, new seed from major companies not one single plant came up so now I have to totally replant; I am a bit worried as several years back, I bough new seed from a well known seller and had a similar result even after replanting.🤬
  5. Yep, Lee can come up and do his version of the so much wanted Martin. The whole Margot thing is wierd, they do not play him for what he was brought in but put Castro out there where he is no better than Gordon was. I checked at Baseball Ref. and I see Center Field is not his best spot, so now it makes sense but why they picked him to quasi-replace Taylor makes zero sense.
  6. I hate watching Wallner in the outfieled looking like a Buster Keaton movie. Wallner is has never been and will NEVER be as good as Kepler, in any form -- your statement implies Wallner infatuaion and a dismal opinion of Kepler. Wallner had a 37.5 percent strike out rate before the Post Season where it hit the level he is at today. As I wrote in a different thread, they sent Sano down to A ball, if they can do that with Wallner they probably should.
  7. Especially in the post season which level he is still at today.
  8. His defense is no better than it was, he does not many errors because to avoid them his flielding speed is sloooow, and ackward. When Farmer plays second a double play is smooth as silk, with Julien it is like scratching nails on a black-board.
  9. Great Players ---------- no one mentioned here meets that standard. Ted Williams once went 0-17, in his worst year, the only year his OPS dropped below 1.000 he still only had 27 K; his rookie year he had 64 Ks, worst ever, that is a great player . The term great should not used when speaking of Julien, Kirilloff or Jeffers.
  10. He has made plays that history shows, Miranda and especially Kirilloff would not have made at First Base.
  11. I agree with most of what you say but Arraez's fielding is , so far, this year far below what it was, he has had as many errors so far this year as he had all year last year. His bat would be nice to have but his fielding is no better than Julien Iron Gloves.
  12. Yeah, but the Twins want to win in the Majors, not become St. Paul Saints training squad.
  13. No different from those here who have blind (especially when they go ga-ga over some one still in he minors) but the veterans have shown what they can do, while with the rookies it is -- OH he will not get better unless they leave him out there to get better ( with a skill they do not have). Julien is a Gallo with an iron glove; Kirilloff, Miranda, Jeffers ? -- The bat may save one or two, their glove work is often less than average. I do not know what is wrong with Margot. Recovering from injury, well, he will not get better unless they leave him out there to get better.🤣
  14. Well Gallo went 4-4 once last year. 🤣
  15. Put Farmer there, his K rate is low and he will overcome the horrid fortune he has had with his batted balls finding a fielder. Time for Julien to take the train Gordon did.
  16. And he is not good at any of them.
  17. LOL, the Castro-Gordon level -- throw he ball into the stands or kick the ball while fielding it.
  18. Why do near all the Twins stink as often as they look good?
  19. One half of those absolutely say he should stay in the minors.
  20. I agree it makes little sense to put Margot in at that point.
  21. Yeah, the Twins only have 3 hits and Margot made all the other outs.
  22. Texas won with another two-two-two twain.
