  1. Why would the Twins want a banjo hitter, -- (I have no dislike for banjo hitters but many here do not see beyond the bat) -- who makes Julien look like an all-star fielder?
  2. Baseball does not play in sleet at 30, or 40, degrees, period, I had been at the old Met. to football games in single digit weather, but then, I have , for a living, laid sod in the rain, and while snowing.
  3. Royce does not have the glove, or Arm , for the infield so putting him in the outfield would be silly at best. Too many, the majority probably, MINN. rookies have come out of the minors, had a pretty good, to very good, first year or part of a first year, and then slowly, or quickly shown they are not very good with MLB pitching, or fielding. Royce is looking like one of them.
  4. Hmmm, and how many more tens of millions would the State of Minn. been liable for. Blaming weather is a poor excuse. It seems sporting fans have wussied out in the past 50 years, football used to fill stadiums in truly frigid weather.
  5. T The Viking the last 15 years have been no better than the Twins, their post season has been lost, lost, lost, lost. Their only success was in 1969, the won the NFL championship. Since 2009, they have had 7 third or fourth of 4. Your analogy does not work.
  6. No it didn't leave any holes, it left a Grand Canyon that most likely cannot be filled Kirilloff retiring was one handicap removed; Julien and Lewis have holes in their gloves, but Martin is not horrible at 2nd and Lee is not bad at all at 3rd, so if Lewis and Julien go away, those spots are filled for now.
  7. I agree with what you said. A main problem, ever since Bud Grant made the Vikings more than just another team, is the Minn. new channels give the Twins the least amount of time on air. They babble on about the Vikings 12 months a year, and now it has become the same thing for the Wolves and the North Stars, oops I mean the Wild. Max on , up here, WCCO, is the absolute worst, it seems he talks about the Twins only if he has to. I watched part of two Vikings games this year, because they might do well, post season, but mostly because Cousins is gone; I have not watched a hockey game in 40 years, and I do not watch basketball at all. -- (Way back, before Minn. had a pro team, and I would on occasion turn a game, on fifty some years ago, I discovered no reason to watch more than the last five minutes.)
  8. Gone from current in 2028: Lee Lewis Martin Julien Vazquez jeffers Larnach Camargo
  9. How many years of mediocrity do you think Twins fans will tolerate; Calvin found out not very many.
  10. If -- they can put up money for Grichuk, they would have no problem resigning Santana, although would be a better left or right side fielder than what they have.
  11. Use what is working! NFL Draft Pick Bust Rate Remains Very High More analytics haven’t increased the success rate https://www.dailynorseman.com/2022/4/26/23042105/nfl-draft-pick-bust-rate-remains-very-high
  12. AI Overview Learn more Jake Cave, a former Major League Baseball (MLB) outfielder, signed a one-year, $1 million contract with the Doosan Bears of the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO): Salary: $800,000 Signing bonus: $200,000 Cave's contract is the maximum amount allowed for first-year foreign players in the KBO. The Bears were attracted to Cave's bat speed and his ability to cover a lot of ground on defense. Cave played in the MLB for seven seasons, for the Minnesota Twins, Philadelphia Phillies, and Colorado Rockies. In 2018, his rookie year, he hit 13 homers for the Twins. In 2024, he played in 123 games for the Rockies, batting .251 with seven home runs.
  13. Played in college, so what, he is not Major League ready at any of these positions.
  14. Get rid of Lewis and Julien whilst bringing back Solano and Urshela. Solano has a good bat and Urshela is a very good 3rd baseman. Of what is left Martin was not too bad at 2nd so there is the infield.
  15. You seem to want the Twins to be an extened AAA, but now it sounds more like a summer camp for kids.
  16. And a huge helping of wishful thinking. As it stands now they need a 2nd and 1st baseman; it is illogical to add, the need for a MLB competent catcher, and expensive, to the fray.
  17. Bingo! At that- he is not a bad 2nd baseman, better than any thing the Twins have now.
  18. 2021-222 Rooker was just plain lousy with a horried glove. Gallo hit 21 home runs, he and Garlick both had an OPS over 700, while Gallo had a very good glove and Garlick was average in Left Field. Every one here sees mostly what they wish but concerning Rooker, you are blind in one eye and cannot see out of the other.🤥
  19. Trying to undo it is disaster regardless of Jeffer's health.
