Good start for Toronto , let's get some more ...

We knew falvey would never choose a manager that the fans might have higher hopes for ... Watch falvey take no responsibility in hiring shelton at the press conference and put the blame on zoll for the hiring ( i hope I'm just kidding ) ... I'll wish for the best but the needle hasn't moved in our favor , the players are familiar with him and maybe we'll get alittle enthusiasm in our players if falvey stays out of managing ... I was hoping mike Redmond would have at least had an interview , but never heard his name ... Wish for the best ...

When will we even get to a world seriesis a good question ... Since falvey and company took over and especially in 2019 when they hired baldelli i have stated many times , alot of time since the playoffs in 2019 that we could never get to the World Series with falvey and baldelli , baldelli wasn't a major league manager but just figure in the dugout that Falvey pulled the strings , falvey is incompetent , maybe not the first few years when he had molitor as manager , because molitor did alot of things he wanted to do and falvey definitely didn't like not having full control ... Since baldelli was hired , something changed and falvey and company wasn't the same with falvey in complete control , he made trades , some good, some not so good , he spent money foolishly on free agents that showed no potential to helping the club win , just a roster spot ( gallo , Margot , pitcher Bailey , columbe , and a bunch more and a bunch of dumpster diving rejects ) ... the owners are the problem too , they don't like baseball but want to have a competitive team to bring the fans to target field and make a profit ... So I'll say it again , we will never be world champs with falvey in complete charge and with owners that don't like baseball ... Baldelli is gone ( Thank God ) , falvey has lost all respect of the fans and maybe even the players , he definitely is getting bamboozled by other teams in trades and settling for second best ( this past deadline proved it , he could of done better and held out for painter for duran Philadelphia was desperate for a closer , maybe we could have got clements or Barger for varland and France from Toronto and so on , Stewart for outman , crazy ) , FALVEY SHOULD BE FIRED and we need new OWNERS ...

They got it done , no jinx ... Varland looked tired but finished it up good ...

we should get some decent sleep tonight if Toronto can even up this series at 2 games apiece ...

I don't have the same broadcasting crew tonight , I think it's buck Martinez and another Canada broadcaster ... Is everybody else getting the same broadcasting as me ??? Great game and yes Toronto needs this win tonight ...

Why do we have to wait the whole year to see this kind of baseball , the twins sure haven't delivered much the past few years , it was alittle more entertaining after the deadline with the players stealing bases ...

Nick , I want wallner to succeed as much of the next guy , my eye test over your stats tells me everything i need to know , he's a bench player in the years to come if he doesn't make the necessary adjustments , he was a disaster at the plate in 2025 and at the beginning of 2024 and shipped out to get back on track and he managed to but not like his most sucessful year of 2023 ... I'm comparing wallner to wallner , not previous players , I hope he can prove me wrong and I eat my words , cause I see nothing but lack of confidence with regression ....

A sellers remorse , happens all the time ... A buyers remorse happens too but not this time , varland has been a workhorse in the post season and results are good except for his frequent homers allowed , someday he'll get that resolved and not turn into a ron davis ...

Wallner needs help and plenty of it ... Defense is poor ... offense he has never made any adjustments , i hope he finds a diffent voice that may help him ( like driveline ) , he needs to shorten that swing ( he may not hit the ball as far but he will still hit homers with better bat speed ), better recognition of pitches , change his stance in the box just for starters , he needs a new makeoverpure and simple ... If he doesn't improve , it wasn't mentioned but we have a new manager coming in that will put wallner on the bench with less playing time than our past manager gave him ... What's inside his helmet is empty right now , he needs to fill it with confidence , the look on his face when in the batters box tells the whole story ...

Maybe the hitter just has trouble with the curve ...

The twins did Rocco a favor and fired him with a winning record ... Seriously , Had he been allowed to stay another season he would have ended a below five hundred manager ,... If he ever gets elected to the twins hall of fame , I'll hang up my cleats and root for another team ... I hope our future manager is not quite the puppet our past manager was and manage a team the way a major league manager should ... In conclusion I'd rather see a manager do it his way of managing and get fired , than doing it Falvey's way and getting fired ...

I guess someone likes Wallner better than Steer , Steer was good through all the levels of the minor leagues and was close to a call up , but supposedly we were in a pennant race so the front office thought in 2022 , I didn't see it ,,, Steer got traded to Cincinnati and they promoted him to the club shortly afterwards , a good month in 2022 and 2023 was a productive year , 2024-25 his hitting has regressed alittle .. But i was looking forward to seeing him in a twins uniform and was disappointed when the trade took place ... That's history and Cincinnati seems happy to have him ... And than after all that trading in 2022 and the front office got gun shy in making trades that they completely stopped until 2025 deadline ... 2023 they failed miserably at not acquiring any help at the deadline when we were strong to contend in the playoffs , did I mention we could contend for the 2023 playoffs ... With alittle more help in the hitting department in 2023 we might of went further in the playoffs ( that was our window of opportunity that year ) , FO'S evaluation and hope that the FO had for the current roster just kept disintegrating ... Good game for 5 innings last night before Toronto opened the flood gates for 11 runs in the 5th and 6th innings , let's take another one from the dodgers and make them sweat ...

So much for lead off homeruns , there was an article that was expecting a leadoff homerun by either team to start this world series , hope they didn't bet the farm ...

Let's get this game 1 out of the way with Snell pitching , if Toronto can capitalize against his arsenal tonight it would help , Toronto has home field advantage ... Im also rooting for Toronto , remember in 1990 when Oakland was favorite to win over Cincinnati reds , HOW SWEET that was , Cincinnati swept them in 4 , I dont really care for sweeps , I prefer competitive 6 or 7 games ... But that was a nice sweep back in 1990 that no one saw coming ......

Falvey is sitting in his chair all day and thinking about first base , telling himself he signed France for 1 million dollars , if i can sign 1 player for a million , there's got to be someone else out there that would sign for the same amount , Hoskins isn't a consideration ... But remind me later that I might have to eat those words but it will take more than a million ...

Nobody knows the trouble I've seen ... That trouble is out the door now and looking for another job .... Cody says baldelli was linked to the angels , did he get an actual interview , has he interviewed with any team yet ??? Cody says other teams will take advantage of baldelli's availability and hire him ( i sure hope other teams realize Rocco and Falvey's plan was not winning baseball ) A choice with experience that would give the twins players a spark would be mike Redmond , ex catcher for the twins managed in Miami with a crummy team , how do you gauge that ??? Redmond also was a bench coach in Colorado , Redmond was a well liked player , great comical clubhouse guy ... Hes got the qualifications at least for an interview with the twins ... I think he could ignite this team and he would work with the player's and strengthen their talent ... Cover all the bases falvey ...
