  1. That was the problem, such a half move and so late.
  2. You have very unrealistic expectations about practicing medicine. But you are far from alone.
  3. I thought 2013 was a relatively creative draft. I don't know all the teams that well, but I imagine, like most things, the Twins are more the mushy middle than they are especially bad.
  4. I think I've come back around to Kyle Wright. Especially if they can get some savings for later picks. His upside is really not that much lower than Greene, his floor is higher, and he would have a good chance to pitch in the bigs at some point in 2018.
  5. That was such a majestic bomb.
  6. I'm starting to buy that if Buxton is looking to hit fastballs to right center and pull offspeed stuff he's got a chance to pull out of this. Still an absurd amount of talent there.
  7. They are about to be .500 through the first 20 games. That's a nice change from last year.
  8. I don't really see anything wrong with what Sano did. He pointed and yelled at the pitcher. If McCann doesn't touch him nothing happens. And the pitcher probably stays in too.
  9. Andrew Benintendi says hi. Baseball is different because they are often playing up until close to the draft, the NFL movement is much more from off the field measurables.
  10. The replay system already sucks in my mind. Adding significantly more calls to the system would not be a positive.
  11. Is there any good data on a specific pitcher or hitter getting a noticeably different zone than others? I think Fangraphs or somewhere like that would be all over it if it was true.
  12. I think this is about right. Might also be able to swing a high upside starter who has struggled a little out of the gate, depending on specific team and need.
  13. I won't speak for others, but I'm not confident the trio mentioned has the middle infield covered for several years.
  14. I don't like this extension talk. If (when) they are out of it, trade him for what you can get. If he can maintain this for a couple more months they might even get an OK piece or two.
  15. That would be a nice outcome. Someone who can slot in the rotation for 6-8 years.
  16. Vastly different strikes me as a big stretch. There is certainly variance game to game because of a different umpire, and certain pitchers may exploit that better than others, but does it really vary that much player to player? It is telling that the example usually cited is a pitcher from 8 years ago.
  17. Not satisfied. I would have come down much harder. MLB dropped the ball here. I'm not opposed to continuing to work for less and less of these incidents, and punishing hard when a ball goes by a head.
  18. Why do you say that? I suspect peace is the priority for them, followed by preventing refugees.
  19. Better word usage, but what I was thinking too.
  20. Other assets to trade, draft, free agency, develop their internal guys. The usual. It's no sure thing they would get a SP in the future even if they did trade Dozier. If they did the trade people wanted last offseason, they'd have a guy heading towards TJ. That doesn't do anything for the franchise. Keep good players if you can't get a good return for them.
  21. Agree. One game just seems pointless.
  22. Polanco can handle SS, sign Dozier to an extension. Market isn't there for a trade.
  23. But in all seriousness, China doesn't want that regime to collapse, it would lead to a refugee crisis they want no part of. They probably would go for a peaceful reunification if it was possible.
  24. I would start by declaring China a currency manipulator.
  25. There was an interesting exchange about Kyle Gibson on The Ride With Reusse yesterday. Big takeaway is the frustration that the coaching staff and other officials have with his stubbornness. Basically he won't listen to any coaching and insists on continuing his own way (basically nibbling over attacking in the zone). Don't know if it came out in the postgame, but Molitor was as miffed as he has ever been. I generally have the opinion that he isn't going anywhere because of the lack of options behind him, but maybe they will throw him in the pen in a last ditch effort to shake him up.
