  1. Total BS. They beg for my $$ all winter so I fork out the dough. Two weeks into the season they're stinking up the joint and asking for more money. Take a hike.
  2. Attendance was 10,423. What's the over/under it's less than that on Thursday?
  3. LOL!!!!!🤣🤣🤣😂😅😂😆😅😂😂😅🤣
  4. Was going to guess Jim Thome but he's left handed. Coomer.
  5. Here's a nitpicky change (as all of the above are): How about putting the speedier Buxton ahead of the more clutch Correa?
  6. As a general rule: Rocco likes to get every bench player in every game. The only position players that sit out an entire game are the really good ones that "need" scheduled rest days or are too fragile to play a whole season. These guys brought in for "depth" may have a higher floor than our minor league prospects but the young guys can never reach the ceiling if you don't give them a chance.
  7. There's fault to be found throughout the organization. I really think @DocBauermade some great points. IMO, ownership and whoever is in charge of TV contracts/budgets is chiefly to blame for starting the perfect storm. Thier ineptitude trickled down and infected the players in the end. Here's my question: If the players are ultimately to blame, who let that happen? Who's "managing" them? Who's influencing their thoughts and actions? Who's motivating them? Who's theorizing 2-strike approach with them? Who's reinforcing fundamentals? We hear about C4's leadership and Farmer's team meetings. This is great but why is it necessary? What is lacking? Who's running this team? If it's not Rocco's job, who's is it? The bench coach? Hitting coach? I believe this young, talented team was shorted the management they deserved. In-game management is another area of weakness I won't expound upon.
  8. There's a ton of raw talent there. Just not well coaced/managed. Minus Santana, (Buc, Farmer, and C4) there's lots of young/inexperienced players. Lots of good ingredients, but something very important missing from the recipe!
  9. I'm at the game... Feeling kinda embarrassed....there seems to be more Toronto fans than Twins fans here. 😒
  10. I agree 100%. Also, each player has strengths and weaknesses. A one-size approach is destined to fail. Don't be a lazy coach and rely on theory and statistics. Coach your players individually. You are going to have Judge/Trout type players and Arraez type players. Let them play to their strengths.
  11. So many people complain about Gladden. I understand he is quirky and unique but that is what I love about him. He makes listening fun and interesting when the Twins are striking out or the game is slow. On the other hand, I can't listen to Smalley. I totally respect his experience and knowledge of the game but his hem-haw stuttering is just not what a professional communicator should sound like. I totally agree that the TV crew needs to shut-up every once in a while and let us enjoy the game!!!
  12. Can anyone with a stat tracker tell me what Oberʻs historical speeds are? His fastball is averaging 90 tonight. This surprises me
  13. I think this is the theme this year. The team philosophy is that statistics say small ball is not a winning strategy. We've got to swing for the fences. (Except for GIDP C4) Because we've held the division lead for most of the season, they think it's working. Let's just hope they're right in October..
  14. My problem is not that Rocco uses too much data. I think he uses the wrong data. As you stated, data comes from infinite sources. Sometimes "the human element" or some other intangible perception may outweigh the available numbers on your spreadsheet.
  15. I would bat C4, Buck and Kep 7,8,9. When they heat up, then move them up. Reward Lewis and let him clean up!
  16. I enjoy the articles and this site is where I get my Twins news. I find many of the comments repetitive, offensive or annoying.
  17. @Brock Beauchamp As a Caretaker, I ask you: How do I see the rest of the article?
  18. Wow. Lots of disappointment(s). I agree with 95% of the comments above but can't believe Kepler isn't being mentioned more. .231 BA, .677 OPS Of course, a lot of disappointment comes constantly seeing him in the clean-up role ? Thanks Baldelli?
  19. Arraez OPS .868 Buxton OPS .872 Luis's consistency is quickly catching Byron's star power at the plate! I hope the rest of the lineup can start to generate some runs.
