    Whatever that was that Garcia did absolutely was. I'm more OK with it in a big spot but the 6th inning on an 8 game losing streak is dumb. I'm from the act like you are going to do it again camp. Wallner reactions are almost perfect.

    I could see a move to get him on the 40 man but that doesn't mean he will come up, it just keeps options open. With several others coming back from injury in line first he won't be jumping to the front of that list. I like the idea of keeping him available for the postseason but he's a pinch runner, specialty type. Break glass in emergency but not a contributor.

    I not out on Martin long term, happy to see signs of life but he's just as ready to contribute to the big club as Brooks Lee. As in, not.

    Here's my plan. I just got a reminder that I need to use or lose a couple of weeks of vacation before the end of the year. I took the first week of October and booked a flight to MSP. Worst case, my brother lives there and the Chiefs play the Vikings on the 8th. It will be an excellent sports week in Minnesota regardless. Best case? Two playoff wins at Target Field and maybe the schedule works out to get another. Pro tip. Enjoy it. Don't get too wrapped up the machinations of the next 6 weeks. The moves won't always make sense but the plan is for October. We have no influence on the front office and thank goodness for that.

    Three weeks ago Martin was a has been. The clamoring here is the last thing in my mind.

    Martin will not come up in place of Castro. Maintaining the flexibility of Castro's option into next year will be incredibly valuable and this late in the year you can't waste it. They will be happy to pay a ML salary for the option next year. That doesn't mean Castro won't have a set back in rehab.

    Two days ago, the bullpen was spent, the Rangers were going to score 75 and the season was over. Whoops, 5 innings and one unearned run from some guys named Winder and Sands the world is good again. This team has something. I can't completely put my finger on it but it's there. Loved the scrappyness tonight and I expect to see more of it going forward. Personally, I would not be beaning anyone in the Waller, Jeffers, Gallo section of the lineup. Not the ideal group to pick a fight with.

    Lewis needs time at the position to set his clock. That throw was rushed when he had time. Plenty of time to set his feet and make a good throw.

    Funny how no one cares about Ks or LOB when the at bats are consistently solid. Makes a huge difference.

    Circling back after the distractions, the average exit velo on Correa double plays this year is 94.4mph. Three under 81 mph but the rest hit hard. I accept the coming regression to the mean.
