    So Louie gets the start tonight. Rockies hitters are focusing on Varlands tendencies. So if he comes out with a different plan and can hit his spots he should do OK. If he's just throwing middle middle. It will be business as usual. Nothing to see here. We'll find out shortly. Louie seems like one of those guys who when things are working, it's great. When not he tends to go downhill fast. I think he needs to work on the mental part as much as the physical.

    The fact that a utility player has appeared in every game speaks volumes. If the Twins need to give Lewis time to ease his way back, that's fine. Or giving Buxton occasional relief in cf. Otherwise barring injuries keep him at 2nd. He's serviceable at multi positions. My eyes say he's best at 2nd or LF.

    The exact reason I was replying. Look how great our catcher is at stealing strikes from umpires. Except when the shoe is on the other foot. Then they yell. We need robo umps. Ban framing. Ban the rectangular strike zone box.

    Next to the thumbs down symbol; it says disagree. It's doesn't say wrong. A lot of times I'll disagree in the moment. After some pondering I sometimes do a 180. It also doesn't spell our that if you disagree with someone that you MUST explain WHY you disagree. Then it turns into a back and forth. And a moderator steps in and threatens action. Calling it baiting or trolling. I've had it happen. A lot of readers focus on one word and dont/won't comprehend the message. So instead of arguing in print. A simple thumbs down will suffice.

    Can someone explain to me how an umpire can visually call balls and strikes on balls traveling 100 mph but can't see catchers moving their gloves in attempt to frame pitches. We laud catchers for this ability and chastise umpires for missing what? 2 or 3%. Hell, you have fans and coaches blowing gaskets on pitches where their view is off just from the angle they're viewing from. Ban framing and that box. Problem solved.

    I have noticed 1 thing about the Pirates. They're hustling down the line on ground balls. Yeah they might not be the most talented team. But they play hard
