  1. I'm honestly shocked at what he is doing right now. I anticipated the Twitter nonsense, appointing horrible people around him, but the blatant and disrespect for the constitution and how our country is governed? That is shocking to me. The tea party has to be biting their tongue right now. Ted Cruz hates executive actions and i believe ran with the notion he would eliminate them. Trump on the other hand, has decided they are the only way to get what he wants. I really hope people who voted for him are paying attention.
  2. I'm sure Warren would be more than willing to impeach trump now with partisan support. Problem is, it doesn't matter what she proposes if the gop is going to follow trump off a cliff. Honestly, this first week is worse than i could have even imagined. I'm horrified to have this man represent me and America.
  3. Define meaningful way... I think the democrats have been pretty active in protesting the outrageous. Warren and Booker were actually at airports, protesting with the thousands of others (hundreds according to fox). The tactic has to change and push back against this nonsense. If the democrats fail to destroy in the mid terms, the party should gut itself. Within the first week of a trump presidency, I'm hoping a good number of his supporters are thinking twice about what they did. Unfortunately, humanitarian assaults will only get so many votes from that side. There really needs to be a stagnant wages and economic struggles for his base to divert. I also find offense to the notion that our news outlets are not reputable. I have had this discussion with others, and it's really disheartening to think some believe our journalists are more concerned with clicks than legitimacy. This cloud that has been created is a farce.
  4. I'm also ok with the protests, not ok with harming people or property. We can show displeasure while still following the law.
  5. New wr commit from Kansas looks really good...... I mean, really good.
  6. Depending on how the next for years go, out really won't surprise me if the republicans challenge him for re-election. He is unpopular enough already if they ran the primary over again with someone like Ryan he might lose. I truly believe the party is fractured, and the cracks will start to show the longer trump is in office.
  7. You think he'll be ok if he plays along with the Republican agenda? Which one? The current one that has moved so far off center many have left the party? Trump didn't win because people thought he would follow the Republican agenda, he won for many other reasons.
  8. Yes, it is a surprise to me. While I partied and chased girls in college, I didn't expect a president to do the same. I wouldn't Have voted for someone that did the same. I don't believe most Americans behave that way. There is a terrible trend happening in society. People are becoming more ignorant, more gullible, quick to make judgments, and more comfortable with conformational bias. Sometimes you have to go down before you go up I guess.
  9. I'm curious what terrible from a conservative means. If that means they think people are equal and deserve to marry whoever they want, that abortions are a women's health issue, and people can believe in whatever they want... That sounds alright to me. I doubt trump is going against guns (the nra owns the past that supports him), I doubt he's going against the interests of businesses, I doubt he's going against the interests of the wealthy... what's left?
  10. Good decision, long overdue imo. I don't think people get to become citizens by just showing up. I'm more slanted toward open boarders, but we do have rules in place, and one country shouldn't be an exception.
  11. It's the right decision for the twins. Don't trade dozier because you think you have to. It would have been nice to get some value, but there is still a chance something happens and the offer is better. No sweat. Hopefully he his another 40 next year!
  12. 2-3'm million! That is a great deal for the a's! I'd think it has to be more like 5 million.
  13. I'm ok with over the top. Sometimes that is what it takes to succeed (maybe even more true here). I think he knows talent and buying in are the key at this level, so he already has an advantage there. I'm most interested too see if green and jr. are coming back. The offense at wmu would be perfect for green and Rodney Smith. Mix in the pro set with Brooks and the running game looks great already.
  14. And until that mentality about the interruption of it changes in the supreme court we are ****ed. Well, only those of us unlucky to be caught in an isolated incident I suppose.
  15. Thing is, I'm betting it will be considered just another isolated incident. How many isolated incidents does it take for some people? I'm really at a point now where i believe owning a gun should be similar to getting a driver's license. Registration included. I've been a gun owner my whole life and wouldn't care less if it is a little inconvenient to do so. So is renewing my drivers license.
  16. 5 flipped recruits according to the kfan board. 3 star receiver, qb, olb and 2 2 star d line. Not bad. I don't like the throwing motion of the qb, but he has athleticism and a strong arm. If Green is allowed to play and Winfield comes back this team won't be too bad.
  17. Levi that is not a fair stereotype. But that kid of enthusiasm and fire really do resonate with athletes. Shoot, even I the sales world there exists people like that. Thing is, those people get paid all kinds of money too. It doesn't make sense to me. I'm not an emotional person though, so that kind of rah rah doesn't do it for me. I know it does for some though. In fact, I'd bet it does it for more than you'd think. Look at where Clemson has come as a program with a guy like fleck. They weren't a powerhouse before, but for 5 years now have been an elite program. That's still possible here. Don't know where I'm going with this.... Feels like I'm defending the guy. What's happening?
  18. I've checked a number of rifles and shotguns traveling back and forth from Minnesota and Alaska when I was a kid. Baggage claim areas are not all that safe anyway. At some point, I believe we will come to our senses about the gun violence in this country. I am an optimist.
  19. Her fault.
  20. I procrastinated. Started this job little over a year ago. I fly though Chicago all the time actually. I got the Chase sapphire and one of the benefits is paid tsa precheck. Awesome card, and finally got around to making my life easier at the airport.
  21. From someone that flies a lot, how the **** did he have a gun in there?!!! Checked baggage? That's what they're going with? Man.... I fly once or twice a week and just got my tsa speed check thing. Everything is going to change again. Really curious where this guy came from and what he had against a bunch of unarmed citizens. Coward.
  22. Listened to the presser.... man this guy is different. I think I'm different now.. You know what? I feel like my shoulder is cracked too. Or I just smoked a crack pipe? Everything aside, he says the right things on how to build a program. I'd love for him to accomplish everything he believes he can. I just hope his chili is already hot, and doesn't expect it to heat up once he gets here. Curious to see what happens to players and recruits now. Does he pick more up? Do players like Tyler Moore leave?
  23. We'll see what he can do. I really hope he can bring toughness and tenacity that is required to win in this conference. The biggest thing to me is recruiting. If he can bring in some players that ndsu has been getting, combined with a little more national reach he should do well. I'm not sure how involved he is with schemes, but if he is able to identify the right people, that is all that really matters. I did read an article stating he is pretty knowledgeable about offense, which makes sense considering how good his team was this year. I can't wait for the sound bites to start.
  24. I've always liked Megyn Kelly. I'm curious to see how it goes away from fox. She now doesn't have to placate a certain crowd. Really excited to see her take off the kid gloves with Trump.
  25. Less Miles might be a decent fit. The style of his lsu teams fit with Minnesota. His main problem was being in the sec with Alabama and auburn. That conference has been tough the last ten years. I really don't like pj fleck. He seems like Brewster 2.0 to me.
