  1. I really don't like his delivery. The only part of it I don't mind is his arm motion, and that is being generous. He would have a lot of work to do to be successful IMO. No way he is worth 2 million. Compare his video to Kohl Stewart (I know, Stewart is an elite prospect). The difference is pretty substantial. Kohl has things to clean up himself, but they look to be much more minor. I'd be disappointed if the Twins use a bunch of money on this guy.
  2. Next year? We don't even know if he can AA pitching yet mane.
  3. Progress for what? Somebody actually got on base? I'm confused. I guess Plouffe has mastered getting on base for other people while he's been injured. As for Worley... yikes. He has been absolutely terrible.
  4. Nobody here has ever had a 3rd row SUV? Damn.
  5. This just makes no sense to happen. No need to rush Buxton right now. I'd rather the Twins were aggressive with Stewart and put him in Cedar Rapids this season.
  6. I think you're right about that. Except, I think the line will be a bit different. I'll go .275/.340/540. Same OPS, just less OBP and more power.
  7. I'm using chrome. Its completely random when this happens, but frustrating as hell. For some reason, it just will not work for like 3.1 minutes.
  8. Can we bold the guys that get signed? Once more and more of these guys sign it is going to be a headache to look at.
  9. Again, super-2 status is not a concrete date. has at least two years of major league service but less than three, AND is among the top 22 percent for cumulative playing time in the majors in this class of players (and ties), AND was on an active major-league roster for at least 86 days in the previous season. Top 22 percent will be difficult to avoid. Jeremy might have the numbers of these guys, the percent was raised from where it previously was. Off the top of my head I think it used to be 17.8% or something like that.
  10. The 40-man shouldn't be an issue. There are plenty of guys that can be released from the 40-man at that time. Butera, Carrol, Hermsen just to name a few. That is not even taking into consideration any trades. If Morneau doesn't get dealt before the deadline, he might still be able to pass through waivers and be dealt.
  11. Kepler! This might open a spot for Harrison in Ft. Meyers too. Man, the Twins could be extremely young and good in 5 years. I'm just hoping all the prospects continue to take steps forward. The Twins have to be satisfied with the production of their prospects so far this season.
  12. Brock, while browsing with my phone I run into a little annoying problem. Usually it happens when a topic is a rather long one, and I'm on say page 4 of 6. Also, more often than not it happens if I go to my home page and come back to it later. The problem is the navigation isn't working. If I try to go back to the Minnesota Twins forum it just simply reloads the page I am on. I push it the forum navigation tab, and before I can even select "forum" "twins daily" or "minnesota twins" it just reloads. It does this several times before I can actually get out of it. Now, if the thread is only a few pages I can just go back, but if it is 15 like the joe benson thread, I'm not going back 10 pages. Not sure if anyone has experienced this, but I wanted to make you aware.
  13. If Plouffe gets injured again and needs to be on the 15 day DL I see them making it happen. The production at 3b has to be better. Hopefully Plouffe just comes back and goes on a June feeding binge like last season.
  14. I look at it as the Arcia schedule. He might get a look in September to get fans excited for next year, but no way they bring him up to start the year like Hicks. The Twins desperately need that extra year with him. Arcia also destroyed AA pitching last year and did not get a call-up. I'd expect to see D Romero before Sano.
  15. Like, bi-lateral shoulder weakness? Or bi-lateral labrum tear? There is a difference, lets hope the former.
  16. Until the teams in AA get a good scouting report on him, I don't see why it would be that much different. Once they find a way to get him out, which, is proving extremely difficult, he will have to adjust. Many said it coming into the season, his bat is practically ready. It is pretty hard to perform any better than this kid just has in half a season.
  17. Strangely, this is a normal post.... On a side note, totally had you pegged as a weird 30 year old college chick that is into drama and E-entertainment. My condolences.
  18. I'm starting over. You're new so I'm not going to freak out (yes, my last attempt was a freak out). Starters only going 75 pitches will not work. Like has been stated above, in order to do this you will have to essentially have them throw about 5 innings. The other 4 innings are going to be eaten up by guys like Swarzak and Duensing that struggle significantly to get through a batting order twice. And on top of that, say Swarzak or Duensing throw 30 pitches in 2 innings. When are you going to make them go back out to throw another 30 pitches? 3 days? 2 days? Even guys that throw 1 inning are only used in 2 games in a row. So how many pitchers are you going to burn through? Like stated above, if the roster sizes were bigger this would already be happening. They are capped at 25 and for good reason. Starters are paid to pitch deep into games. It really isn't that mystical to get a quality start out of a starter, the Twins just haven't had the talent on the roster the last few years to get that. Gardy is using what he has. I would leave guys out there as long as I can too. Whats the point of squeezing out every possible win if the team has no real chance of making the playoffs? Guys will get run down and injured and they will end up losing more games because of it.
  19. Looking at getting one of these. Anyone have any experience with them? My favorites are the yukon and enclave.
  20. I would. Mauer will never be that low for consecutive months. He just simply hits the ball too well.
  21. I'm not sure about Buxton being higher than Sano. Sano is having a legendary year right now in the FSL. If his D is still improving and he looks like he'll be able to stay at 3b...
  22. Where the **** is Stewart?>]sdf
  23. Guys that throw 97 settle in at 89-90? I guess its possible. More than likely he will site 93-95, which is still pretty good. We just need to wait until he gets into pro ball to see how those secondary pitches are developing.
  24. Verve just finds topics about young strapping young men that are young. Its like an unexplained force that makes magnets stick to the fridge.
  25. I'm giving the Twins the benefit of the doubt right now. Get this guy in Cedar Rapids and lets see what happens.
